This is an ET fan game I am making.

Plot-

Evil toaster and Roaster were already destroyed. Their army is making a last stand near a volcano with a lever bridge over it. The lever is in the middle of the bridge. After being pushed back by the apples, they make a last stand on the bridge. There, the apples have a disadvantage. Elemena finally fights through the toaster lines and presses the lever, falling into the volcano, but taking the entire toaster army with her. The toasters were destroyed, and everyone could finally live in peace. Or could they???

For, unbeknownst to all, Frank's son, Frankfurter was preparing a new army, more powerful than his father's to use to enslave the apples and all the fruits at last.

2 years later...

App is going for a walk. Suddenly a giant black toaster appears. It informs App that all his friends have been captured. He takes App to the prison, without his Splapples.

Our story begins one week later in the Cherry's village.

You could of called it Fanmade Toaster 6. *shot*

Wow, we all seem to not have The Apple playable in fangames. Of the 8 ET fangames(Well, there's actually 10, but the other 2 are parts of FT3), only 3 had the apple playable(3,4,5) I belive.

Saddly, there's already a fanmade nice toaster;Freezer, from TFT.

This game sounds great. Actually, I think cherries taste better than apples.

Oh, forgot to mention, bananas get caged as well as green apples.

This will actually have the Apple playable for a few levels.

There will be a lot of explosive items in this game.

Hey, could you have my fan charecter, Slippery, as one of the trapped bananas?

(Here's some info on him from the FT1 topic)

Slippery is a...banana. Slippery feels alone, not being a apple or a toaster, but he desides to help the apples, since he's a fruit and not a piece of metal. He's funny, but he can be super-annoying when he wants to. He's not a good fighter, until you get him motivated. Or angry. Or both. When that happens, he gains the power to use some magic spells(lighting what he wants on fire, freesing what he wants, summoning lighting to hit what he wants, making cages explode, ect.). When he wants to use a spell, he floats in midair, and beguins to glow blue. Then he changes from yellow to blue. When he is done, the spell activates. When he has acsess to his magic, he can hover like Doom, but for any legnth of time.

Okay. I did want to have something special about bananas that green apples don't have. Maybe each one has a separate use/ability.

Flitch

A light mage. When battling, he shoots "shield particles" that block enemy projectiles.

Blacky

A dark mage. When battling, he slowly drains the health of nearby enemies.

That the regular toaster sprite and mess with the saturation or whatever it's called. IIRC it's the function under black and white.

You may want to make Flitch brighter and Blacky darker. Flitch looks just like Mapac and I'm preety sure Blacky is realy close to Motewollon.

I'm assuming Zapp is a 8-bit apple?

Anyways, I have better things to do than to bump this topic just to say that. Here is my ideas for the new battle system:

It will be a combination between RPG and the current one. It will use HP instead of lives. It will also have MP for App, Slippery, and whatever the toaster ends up being named.

You will also be able to buy scrolls (which can cast a spell once), rings (twice) or iron rings (four times). Weapons will be upgraded throughout the game. For instance, Cher will start off with a small dagger. Then he will get a wooden sword, and so on.

Various attacks may do more HP damage than others. Also burn status ailments will increase damage on hit and when a person is cursed, they do less damage.

Cher's basic dagger does 10 damage to toasters, the friendly toaster's basic toast does 10 damage, App's basic splapples do 10 damage, and Slippery's basic cherry bomb does 25 damage.

Don't ask me why the banana has cherry bombs.

Instead of health units, you get level up tokens which increase HP and MP.

Slippery will learn new spells as he levels up. App will learn magic after beating a certain boss. He can also buy new spells. The friendly toaster will use various toast infusions.

Each character, as in wefight, has a different weapon system.
App: Weapons with a movement similar to splapples.
Cher: Melee weapons
Slippery: Explosive thrown weapons
Friendly toaster: Toast

Can anyone think of a name for the friendly toaster?

For names, how about Benevo?
(It's a shortened version of a big word for nice, benevolent)

Yep. Though he will be one of the less important playable characters.

In order of importance:

Cherry: Played for most levels.
App: He has the final boss and second most levels
Slippery: Just 3 or 4 stages as a PC.
Benevo: Just a little information gathering as a spy.
