Good recording software?

Post by StinkerSquad01 » Sun Aug 21, 2011 5:04 am

Hello all, I'm looking for a good screen recording software that meets the following criteria:
  • 1. Its free.
    2. Its not malware or virus infected.
    3. Its not Camstudio or Fraps. (Camstudio is glitching for me and fraps is only a 30 vid for the free ver.)
    4. Its easy to use, hard to use software will instantly change my facial expression to ಠ_ಠ
Please tell me if you know of a good program, thanks!

I'm looking for the same thing because I can't record minecraft because my computer is stupid.
My video memory is so small,so minecraft freeze even in normal gameplay with all settings on minimum.
I've tried everything,but until I don't buy a new video card I don't think I will record something...

It's not free but it's not really expensive either... AND the free version works forever, the only thing that changes is that after 14 days the AVI exports will all have a watermark on them. The watermark is not that bad. Besides, you can be shady and sneaky and find a--OK, I will stop now.

It's called Growler Guncam and it can be downloaded at http://www.growlersoftware.com

It has problems working on Win 7 but works well on my XP and is reported to work well on Vista.

The main reason why it's so awesome is because it doesn't use a whole lot of system resources AND is the only screen recorder that I know of that can capture at 30 FPS without LIMITING THE GAME ITSELF to 30 FPS. Trying to record at 60 FPS is a system hog, but Guncam can record at 30, while Wonderland remains (for me) at 59-60, maybe at 54-55 if I'm not very lucky.

The very first set-up may be quite hard, but once things are set properly it works like a charm.
Rest in peace, Kym. I hardly knew ya.
Rest in peace, Marinus. A bright star, you were ahead of me on my own tracks of thought. I miss you.
