I've been obsessed with classical music for the piano for about six months now. Especially pieces from Chopin, in my opinion, the greatest composer ever alive (okay maybe Alkan rivals him).

But here's an archive of his entire compositions, public domain.

Oh, and in the event you do find most of his pieces boring and "girly", ctrl+f 'Revolutionary', 'Torrent', 'Winter Wind', 'Ocean', 'Desperation', 'Hades', and 'The Storm'.

^ His most exciting and dramatic pieces, albeit the scarcity of them.

They're freely downloadable, but public domain... are you sure about that?

The music itself is public domain, yes, but in the world of music laws the music itself and the recording are copyrighted separately.

So, for personal and non-commercial use the files are fine (it says so at the bottom) but those who may have wanted to use this in a game or in a film and then sell the result? Think twice...

Still a great collection, totally download-worthy.

EDIT: Just started downloading all the music files. Later I'll download the scores as well. Even if I'm not going to learn most (or any) of them, it's a cultural treasure worth saving.
