Mario Forever is my most favorite mario game. So I thought I wanted to make a remix-remake of it. So, here's what I have come up with. This game will have more features and levels than that. How does it sound?
And after I make this, I'll make a SMB-Forever Fantasy with my own worlds and levels. It was very hard to rip those map graphics. So,
Interesting, I remember I used to play Mario Forever when it was really fun and good, but some of the new graphics and features in the more recent versions just ruin it.
What are you making this with (Game Maker I'm assuming)?

Yes, I'm using game maker. It's my SMB-1 engine. I like the old mario forever v3. It was simple and fun. I'm going to remake that way only. Even I am not fond of the new graphics.
It will have the same worlds as Mario forever except; the fifth world will be different from SMB1 and SMF. Moreover, each world will have 5 levels. The powerups are FIRE, BEETROOT (2 types), SLOWFALL
New screenshots. Theses are from world 1 and I'll give 2 worlds for demo 1. I've re-decided the powerups which will be following:
MUSHROOM, FIREFLOWER, SUPERFLOWER, SLOWFALL, BROWN EGGPLANT, VIOLET EGGPLANT, FASTRUN, HIGHJUMP.
PROGRESS: 33%
Maps: 1/2
Levels:3/10
EDIT: I'll replace Fire mario sprites in the next screenshots.
Remember to look at the dates that every post is made. It's been many years, and I, and others, may not be the same people we were when we made them. This is a symbol of where we came from, and should be remembered as that.
I have used some external stuff like:
1. Used sprites from Hello Engine
2. Used Warping Pipe codes from DragezeeY Engine
3. Used Tilesets from Mario Worker
4. Used Hold Item Code from DragezeeY Engine
What I have done on my own:
1. Programmed Mario and enemy physics and my own powerups
2. Ripped Beetroot powerup and sprites
3. Programmed Block physics
4. Used some DLL files to run the music
5. Map coding and level-linking from maps
6. Did all the rest of work in game maker
So I don't know whom to give credit (dragezeey or wee or hello). Usually, I like to talk about the levels more than the engine. To summarize, you may say that I founded this engine or not, it doesn't matter. I started it from a blank game maker file. But anyway, let's focus on the game and votes.

Same here, it looks pretty good.
Could you possibly make a level editor for it, that would be pretty good?
First, I need to complete the game. And if you feel you had to give excellent, you can ask Patrick or maybe make an account just for the sake of voting, I wouldn't do that.
Why is the sky made of parchment paper? Why is the water fading into nothingness? Why aren't you making something original? If I wanted to play Mario. I could play it via emulators, no offense.

No, no, no. That's not the level, that's the world map.
He's making a re-make of Super Mario Forever for PC. Although I agree with some of this, some people like doing it for the enjoyment and there is nothing wrong with re-makes.

Nintendo actually announced that emulators are illegal to use on their games, so I prefer fangames. And hey, could you have made a better one? I couldn't of. Then again, I'm terrible at game maker...

I was also going to say that, but I thought that everyone knew. Also, they don't really focus on who uses the emulators and ROMs, more on the people that distribute these illegally.
Also, fangames provide more functionality and more modern and new features and ideas. Where as the original games are the classics, which are still fun to play now and then.

Also, it's common sense to not tell people you're using emulators when you are.

Yes, as people can get suspicious. However, if you're referring to me as well, I never said I use them.

You guys, all Blazeknight's doing is the level design... Someone else already made the engine for him, graphics included.

Because the FBI are totally going to come for you and break down your door when they find out you're using an emulator, right?
