Which OS or hardware do you use?

Hi forumites,

{ Poll: } Just curious, which Operating Systems do you use? ________

I'm using a new laptop (that I've had for about 3 months);

This is the first time that I've ever had Windows 8.1 -64bit .

One of my favorite programs ( Pelles C ) malfunctions in Windows 8.1 (64-bit) (while in debug mode) Image

Therefore, I'm planning on running Windows 7-32bit within Windows 8.1, as a virtual machine, (using VMware or VirtualBox).

That should solve it, I hope. :)

By the way, if you do install VirtualBox on Windows 8.x or Win7 , then
please install it with the bridged networking option turned off,
otherwise your computer won't be able to hibernate or sleep, ( it is an apparent software bug ).

My OS is Windows 7 Professional, 64-bit. Have Virtual Machine XP as well.

In terms of hardware, this is one I built myself. It was built to last, and I think it's lasting pretty reasonably, considering I built it in November of 2012 and it still copes pretty well with newer games.

I see you have a sentimental attachment to WinXP. :D

Sometime, I shall install Win98 (as virtual machine), in order to run the old After Dark screensavers. :)

Apparently, After DARK cannot run on any modern OS, such as Win7 + .
