BODIES-The Exibition

Post by uneekrose »

Celebrate the wonder of the human form in the World Premier
of BODIES … The Exhibition—a phenomenal look at the phenomena
we call the human body.

I found it quite interesting. Their having the exhibition about 100 miles from where I live but I doubt if I'll go. The site was very informative. They are actual human bodies that have been preserved. Very educational.

Looks interesting.

But not for me. I don't live in the USA.

The same exhibition toured England last year or the year before. In fact for a while they were advertising for bodies. You could sign up and give your body to them when you died.

It was also a series on TV. I watched a few of them, it was a bit gruesome. They had one body cut completely in half from head to foot, then they took off the top half and turned it over so you could see all the organs in situ. They did post mortems live on the program too.

Very interesting if you're studying medicine but hardly peak time viewing.

LOL in the 20 years I've been doing the medic thing I think I've seen enough guts for a life time or two.

I've been to Body World 3, which is almost the same thing. It is, well, interesting. If you dislike guts and the like, you shouldn't go.
