Another forum hidden feature

With a big THANK YOU to Ponto, I present this trick:

Place a BBCode tag, such as B, and put it's end tag right after it, with nothing in between. Nothing, right?
Well this could be used to prevent these kind of things:

See that last item? Oops! That's no problem, though. Just put the

right between the 8 and the ), and you get the smiley code! It prevents translation from 8) into !
So now, we have got:
