Writers block !!!

I don't know what's wrong.....I have tried several times lately to make a new level and a draw a blank. I've started one three times now and erase it. Anyone else have that problem??? I guess I need some inspiration. Maybe I'm burned out from the contest-----that happens to old people, you know!!

My goodness, lady, you've submitted a ton of wonderful levels. Creativity is not on call 24/7. Walk away from it and tackle some of those projects you have neglected since you became enamored with the Editor!!! The best ideas always come when you're not looking---of course, when that new idea does come, us old folks will probably forget it! Hug, hug.

You have been amazingly prolific! If your mind wants a break, don't worry, it will return to puzzle making soon enough.

Your

subconscious is probably working on new levels without letting your conscious mind know!

Anyway, I frequently run up against that problem! Tic-Tac-Toe came after a period of blankness! My son was at the computer, making a level and said something about kid's games and it came in a flash!

I know it's frustrating, but you'll get through!

Thanks Pat. Thanks Sharon. You guys are the best. Maybe you are right. I was even thinking Wonderland while I was painting my bathroom today!!!
Thank goodness I didn't freak out and paint Stinky and Loof on the wall!!!!

I was SO glad to come home today & see your post - I am having the EXACT same problem. Ideas were just flying out of my head right & left for awhile there! I think part of the problem is I've used up all of my FIRST thoughts for levels, so now have to dig deeper (UGGGHHH!). A lot of the levels I've started & wiped are due to realizing I'm using the same ideas over again. I'm trying to do a level just for Valentine's Days - yeah, THIS IS FUN (NOT) - hard to make valentine shapes. Anyway, I've decided to just work on it, and maybe submit it even if I don't think it's creative enough - or too silly - just cuz it's Valentine's Day! My experience has been that Wonderlanders love ANY new level submitted. We are very easy to please, don't you think?!

And then again, maybe being one of the winning entries in the contest is making you feel (maybe psychologically tho) that you have to TOP that!! No, no, no - we like ALL of your levels.

I don't think there's one person in this forum that hasn't enjoyed every single one of them - easy or hard!

Of course, you may not want them watching you take a bath/shower or using the bathroom. Hmmmmm.........Maybe covering their eyes?

How about on the ceiling in your bedroom so when you wake up, that's the first thing you see (oh my gosh, that WASN'T a dream!) - Oh, SharonM, Eeyore31 is going to kill us!!! (Although, I DO believe DiscGolfer & Freightrain are having a very weird influence on us Wonderlanders!!)

Oh majic1, I mistakenly said that eeyore31 had the idea of a Valentine's Day level when it was you. Sorry!

Of course I don't mind - we are Wonderlanders, and we all have some of the same ideas - I was very surprised I didn't see more Valentine's Day levels submitted - Thank you for submitting one! I really thought I'd see SOME levels submitted for Valentine's, and actually was really hoping SOMEONE would show me a way to do a Valentine shape! HA HA HA - yeah, right! Anyway, yours is great - hope the one I submit tomorrow is okay - just remember, it's meant only for HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY! (in other words. have fun!!)

Well, the end walls are soft purple, the big walls are yellow----perfect back-drop for a garden scene!!!!

Hi folks,

I'm afraid my Wonderland days are over for a while, boo hoo.

My graphics card has finally given up the ghost, I can only get 16 bit and 640 display.
I had to re-format my hard drive, needless to say everything is lost!!!!!

The good news is, I have won an auction for a new card at e bay, it should arrive next week.
Until then I can only read your posts ( what will I do without Stinky and Loof) at least it's something.

I too had made a Valentine level, it was very simple and I managed to make a sort of heart shape with the coins oh, and I had all the monsters locked behind gates just to give us all a break.

Sharon, I think we have created a monster with starting the discussion on idgits-egits!

Dianna, you know what I am going through! You have just experienced the same thing, I had intended to write and welcome you back when this happened. This is the second time in two weeks that I have had to re- install windows.

Must go, hubby is taking me out for lunch

he is trying to cheer me up

I look forward to playing all the levels again.

Eeyore, I think majic1 is right, you probably feel a bit of pressure to make more challenging levels.

All your posts have been brill, take a break and don't be so hard on yourself.
Go and do something completely different, stay away from the computer if you can or play a different game.

Eeyore, I've been reading this thread with great interest. I think all of your levels are great, and I feel confident you have many more levels in you. I dearly wish I had even a small amount of the Wonderland creativity that you have. (Gee, your new bathroom walls DO sound terrific for a Wonderland theme -- after all of this discussion, I'll bet you're dreaming right now of a new level that can be painted on the walls!)

I got a great e-mail from one of our sister Wonderlanders for some levels. She doesn't have time to do them herself....so watch for the new ideas!!!

That's great eeyore31, looking forward to seeing these levels. I've others give me ideas as well. I don't always do them justice, but I do my best.

Iknew it! DG is wandering around Wonderland looking for Alice and the Caterpillar! Watch out DG, One side makes you small and the other makes you very large!

MAD, please post your level when you get your card. I know we all could use a little love. Can't wait to see you back. Wonderland withdrawal is a ferocious thing!

Yep, Eeyore, I knew it! "Stinky and Loof in a Potty Adventure." Push those rolls of TP into the sink to make a soggy bridge, flush all UFOs down the can, use a Kaboom or two to blow up that pesky extra row of tile and run around the magic mushrooms growing in the corners (oh, no, wait, that's MY bathroom...) before washing Stinky down the exit at the bottom of the sink!
