Remember when you had DOS ? :)
If you'd like to reminisce over some old [DOS] games that
are still good,
you can try the BestOldGames website,...

Here I recently downloaded and installed this cute game
called Supaplex.
I created the this small video to demonstate how to get thhis game to work
with Windows Vista.

You'll need DOSBOX to run it.
You should create a shortcut to DOSBOX on your desktop.
Download & decompress suplaplex.zip into a directory of your choice.
( In my case, I installed supaplex in C:\GAMES\Supaplex )

Open the Supaplex directory, and drag the RUNME.BAT file
directly onto the DOSBOX icon.

I just started to play Supaplex, so I don't really understand it (yet). :D
Apparently, during the opening title, you're supposed to copy
the 3-digit code that's presented to you for some reason....[press Enter]

It's unique, looks a little bit like a packman. Good Luck. Image

The opening code was a copy-protection back in the day, but now nearly every copy is a cracked one, even the officialy freeware release! So now, if it even happens, you can just type in ANYTHING.

And also, while Supaplex is a good game, and DOSBOX may provide the neccessary slowdown, sometimes it may not. SpeedFix is here. http://elmerproductions.com/sp/dlinst.html

It provides some new features as well as a truly CPU-independent speed that can be adjusted from slug-low to coffee-high with + and - on the right side of your keyboard.
Rest in peace, Kym. I hardly knew ya.
Rest in peace, Marinus. A bright star, you were ahead of me on my own tracks of thought. I miss you.
