Modulay is the first module playing program I have made. Modules are pieces of music made in programs called trackers. Most modules are larger than MIDI files in filesize but smaller than MP3.
The main thing that differs modules from MIDI files is that MIDI uses a 128-item sound set that is stored on your soundcard, yet modules can contain all kinds of samples - from pads and piano to people saying "dink dink".
This program, Modulay, was made entirely with Game Maker 7.0 Pro, using the GM Windows Dialogs and GM Bassmod extensions. (Special thanks to M. Rijks who created the GM Bassmod extension.)
Note that gradual tempo changing commands do not work correctly in this program (possibly a problem with GM Bassmod). Only instant tempo changing commands are properly executed.
The program comes with one example module, composed by me.
Important: Please unzip all files before you run the program.
