Mg is a Wonderland fan game I've started working on recently. It's similar to Yoctostinky, except much more challenging, and much smaller. In fact, every sprite is only 4 pixels by 4 pixels. The whole game takes up 64x48 pixels when in x1 scale.
(I'm a minimalist, so my games are often very small.)

In case the explanation above isn't clear enough, here's a full-size, uncropped screenshot.

So far, what I have is
  • Stinky (duh)
  • Water
  • Boxes
  • Cannons
  • Animated Rainbow Coins (actually they're just red and blue because I had only two pixels of height remaining.)
  • Animated Rainbow Exit
  • Buttons and Gates
  • External configuration program to toggle fullscreen, toggle 10:1 scale and change the background
  • Automatic deactivation of objects that are out of view (except gates) in order to save memory.
To-do list:
  • Finish designing the level (I'll probably take ideas from Yoctostinky)
  • (maybe) Add different rooms.
  • Fix the bug in the 10:1 scaler.
Estimated release date is June 13rd-14th.

Update:
The release has been delayed to June 15th-16th. I was out of ideas, school got in the way, and I kinda procrastinated most of the time :oops:

I'm working on the level right now, though.

Thank goodness - I've managed to squeeze the release into the last hour of June 16th. Some of you are already deep inside the 17th, but here it's still the 16th.

Okay, okay, here's the real link: Catch (hopefully it works)

First run MgConfig.exe and change the settings to your preference. Then run Mg.exe.

The squares that rapidly change colors are checkpoints. If you die from cannon fire you get sent to the last checkpoint. Press F8 to go to the last checkpoint, or Ctrl+F8 to restart the whole level.

A nice game, however the gameplay is mostly formed with the generic concept of pushing boxes. There could have been much more to the gameplay. I liked the graphical style though, especially the animated water.

BTW: I can't figure out how to do this part...

Level bug fixed. Anyone who downloaded before June 18th should download again.

BTW, dlcs, congratulations for even getting there. :shock:
