Do you have another definition of the word "discussion"?

The only way I can describe discussion is that it's discussing stuff, but note that MS probably wouldn't have named this forum Debate Board.

Well, I looked it up in several dictionaries and that is not what it said. However, no matter which of our definitions is/are (I'm not sure if it is "is" or "are") right, this technically is a discussion now.

In Dutch (which is actually my language) are the same two words: "discussie" and "debat", but what's the difference between those two words?

Yes, I agree, it's a discussion now. Not one about languages, but one about discussions. (Since this is a discussion board, it shouldn't be a big problem though

Maybe I don't know the definitions correctly of some of the words inside the defintions of discussion. And, looking more closely, by some of the definitions, you're right. But technically, it is partually a discussion by these definitions, for some users have responded to each other. But mainly, it isn't a discussion by these definitions.

In English discussion can also mean talking about stuff.

By some definitions, yes. Some defintions say this is a discussion, some say this isn't.
