I am the biggest chatterbox here, some people have lots of posts but they make loads of levels.
Majic1 is the Queen of levelmaking and usually has the most posts, I'm just talking more this week so have went to the top.
Popo talks a lot too, she can't help it because of her nerves. (I usually get on them)
Ol'gramma is another leader, she makes lots of brill levels too.
There's quite a lot of members with over a thousand posts.

Thanks to Kymmie.

Thanks Maureen; it's nice to see someone picked up my hint in the silly one-word thread game.Davimad wrote:Don't want to be a misery guts but......... Too much SPAM for me.
I personally don't believe that post counts mean much, but I am also aware that a lot of people here are proud of theirs, (and quite rightly so). Some people post little, some a lot, but it's all usually good banter, help on a level or a personal matter. Never is it rubbish!!
Everyone here, (including me

With this spate of 'silly little games' that have appeared lately, their acheivement will soon mean nothing, because in the space of a few minutes anyone can rack up a couple of hundred posts by just posting one word here and there.
I ask the board to join me in requesting that we don't allow the board to be riddled with this meaningless crap and keep the Wonderland Board free for more 'meaningful' posts and fun.
Let's keep this board a

Bear

btw. Yes, a rant from me, but a 'nice, controlled' rant, you all must agree.
btw2. I also ask the new member starting these threads not to take this personally. You're probably a lovely person. But in all my years on the net I have seen great forums ruined by this sort of stuff. I don't want that happening here. I hate Spam!!!
Where is everyone thesedays? PM me and say hello.
Another thing worth mentioning - I have my security set to NOT accept third party cookies unless I OK it. I've never had it alert me while I've been on this site. Now I am receiving an alert every time I clicked on a thread with his post there. I am assuming that his signature URL is setting it off. I'm not saying this is something dangerous, just irritating.

I have been getting that alot also. Not just from Spaceoff.Gen wrote:Another thing worth mentioning - I have my security set to NOT accept third party cookies unless I OK it. I assumed it was from some of those animated .gifs posters have been adding to their signatures.

Don't you have to get them directly from the icon sites? Those places are loaded with sneaky stuff!
jg
jg, I think you are right. In order to have the gifs, they are linking to other sites - which sometimes are very sneaky in their methods.
I would rather see people be able to post gifs from their own files rather than having to link to other sites. At least that way, we won't run into third party cookies or other spyware.
Patrick - is this possible?

Everybody can do that, try uploading the icons in
www.imageshack.us - here you can upload an unlimited number of pictures for free and you don't need to register at all. It's quick and the link will be online as long as you want.
Results:
1- NO spyware or tracking cookies in anyone's pc.
2- NO costs for anyone.
3- NO bandwidth wasted here.

Hi all,
I've participated in the word game and I actually think it is funny. I hadn't thought about the post count going up, thus diminishing the 'legit' post count achieved by others. Or that it could ruin the forum. I certainly don't want that. I'll drop out of the word game now. Spaceoff, if you want to continue we can do it by PM (that won't add to the post count, right
?)
With regards to the problem with the animated gifs, I've been seeing a lot of broken links lately. I don't accept third party cookies or pop-ups of any kind, but I figured the person putting the image there, had just made a mistake of some kind. I think the idea of having the images somewhere safe is an excellent idea. Either the site Kaboom! suggested or somewhere on the forum if that's possible.

I thought the Relation game was quite fun too, but like Mette I didn't think of the post count going up
So I'll stop now too.
BTW, Spaceoff's own count does not go up on this thread. The author of any thread counts one post, no matter how many times he/she adds to that thread.
Also, I don't know if you've all noticed in the Introductions Thread, Spaceoff is only 11 years old.
Liz

I think you'll find you're wrong there Liz. Have a look in his profile and click on 'find all posts by Spaceoff'. You'll find the number matches even though a lot of the posts are in the same thread.Liz Mayhew wrote:

The only thing that doesn't count is PMs, and I'm not even sure about that.
Not that this matters in any way. No-one should feel that they can't post something because it will put their count up and knock someone else off the top spot. It's not a race is it?
BTW, I actually thought Spaceoff was Loof101 in disguise.

Pauline

I thought he was Loofie too (two?) Pauline.

Your count does go up for every post, PM's don't come into it btw.
Spaceoff, we are just trying to advise you. Nobody wants to seem unfriendly, I'm sure you will agree about SPAM.
It's nice that you want to be a part of Wonderland, just take your time to get to know us.
Happy St Paddy's day.
