You're right Cathy.
It
is my money and I intend to live long enough to spend
all of it
Actually, I've also been gettin my S/S for the last two years, having taken early retirement, hoping to get my eye surgery taken care of, All the plans got a bit altered due to my husband's knee surgeries. Now it's my turn.
Have given up wearing contacts after 40 years, and am having a hard time adjusting to glasses for a couple of months. Even with today's modern technologies and light plastics, they are s-o-o-o thick. One lens measures 3/8inch at the outer edge. Everything I see is on a curve, and I feel as though I'm 9ft tall with size 3 feet (that's small in the US).
Oh well, I'm hanging in there, and soon I'll be able to see like normal folk.
If every thing goes to plan, they're going to implant bi-focal lens for me.
