Glad your back, safe & sound. I'll bet it feels good to come home & find your home still standing
I do hope Emily fizzles out before it hit's shore.
I live with a little hurricane Emily (my 5 yr old) everyday, if you don't belive me stop by some time, she can destroy my house quicker that you can blink
It's ok her daddy & I put it back together everynight

Hi Dylan, I am so glad that you are safe and that you didn't have much damage! Thanks for letting us know, I had been wondering about you. I think we are going to be sitting on the hot seat for the rest of the summer. Besides Emily, they are talking about two more storms coming off the coast of Africa that look like they could also develop.
So stay prepared!
Since we were on the wet side of Dennis, we had thunderstorms and winds up to about 45 mph from Friday night through Sunday morning. It finally cleared Sunday afternoon. There were a couple of small tornados in the area, but did not affect me. We had a few small branches down and lost power Sunday morning off and on, but overall it was just a big rain storm.
Again, Welcome back and thanks for letting us know you are safe!

Glad to hear that you and yours made it through safely, Dylan.
We just got some of the remnants of Dennis today, just a few scattered thunderstorms. I hope Emily gives the U.S. a miss. You folks in Alabama and Florida could use a break this year. And North Carolina doesn't need anymore hits either.

Dylan, we usually have our hurricane problems later in the season. The ones that come up the coast and hit NC and sometimes SC. Isabell was the first direct hit we've had in a very long time. As a result, we're not as prepared as you all in Florida and the gulf states. When it gets to us it's usually a weak Cat.1 or just below. The ones that come up into the gulf usually send us storms but nothing much worse. That's what we're getting now. I'm just glad you and all our members down in the gulf states are okay.
You all get hit a lot worse and more often than we do.
