I wouldn't be surprised if it's true. The "Lavender Town Tone" can indeed cause one to get sick or the like. I've listened to it three times now and each time I got a stomach ache and headache as a result.

The Lavender Town Tone... eheh. There's a legend they changed the high pitched notes for the english version, but I can't find the "changed" version... only the original. Which makes me think it was never changed. If it WAS changed, good job at providing a base for an urban legend, Nintendo.

There's also a legend about sicknesses and suicides connected with the original version of the song. I actually listened to it (especially since I can't find the "changed" version) and I have to say I'm fine after listening to it, but that part IS creepy.

Indeed that must be a legend if you ask me. If people commit suicide, there must be definitely much more that matters, then just listening to one scary song.

While I heavily doubt the suicide half of that story, the Lavender Town tone can indeed cause sickness in rare cases. The way it was composed was in a way that would make players feel uneasy (which it does a good job of), but in rare cases it cause slight illness (myself included). I can't find any corroborating sources as to the suicide half apart from just one creepy-pasta.

Yep, I don't believe the suicide part of the story either... especially since these creepy-pastas get more and more bizarre as time goes on.

This one is blatantly and obviously fake (for not only it involves the supernatural/hallucination/whatever, not only are the supposedly "dead" programmers happily credited in the newest games... but if it wasn't fake, then who was the narrator? Sousuke?!) but EXTREMELY creepy:

Yes, I do love a good scare every now and then.

And I also saw that animal crossing thing, it;s not really scary its just bloody and full of swears (which I do not enjoy).

Sorry, this sounded silly... but I want to know what did you do to the music (track 6) in "SIOD Failures" -- did you do anything aside from the speed-up? It's weird how it's sped-up yet actually becomes a bit creepier... usually sped-up songs sound funny.
