Didn't see the news this A.M. & worked all day where I don't have access to radios or tv 1st I've heard of anything was on the car radio on the way home. My heart goes out to all of you in the U.K. being affected by this. As a American I can remember another very sad day not so long ago. My thoughts and prayers are with you, your familys & friends.

So very glad to hear you all are safe. So sad (and mad) to see this happen especially after such a joyous day as yesterday was. You are in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless all, as terrorism could affect any one of us at any time.

My deepest sympathies go out to all Brits, especially Londoners , today. I'm so happy our friends are okay, but I'm so very angry that a few cowards think killing innocent people will make any kind of positive statement. The only thing it proves is that there are people out there who are willing to slaughter others so that they can try to prove how commited they are to a cause. It's disgraceful! It's more than disgraceful, it's totally reprehensible and selfish to boot. It's not in any way holy, it's outright murder and I dearly hope that the criminals are brought to justice quickly!
All my hopes and prayers go out to you Great Britain.

Hi all,

I heard the news yesterday, but I haven't been near a computer till now. I've been thinking about all Londoners and especially Wonderland Londoners a lot. I'm sooo happy   :D :D to hear that yuo're all ok.

Such sad times we live in

Mette

Btw...I truly hope that this will not affect our Wonderland Convention. DKgiz and I are still very much counting on going. Otherwise the terrorists win.

I am so glad that everyone is okay.

When I heard the news yesterday I immediately thought about the Wonderlanders who live in the U.K. I did not know exactly who they may be, but I knew there were several. Bless your hearts. Things will be very difficult for a while and I am so sorry for you and everyone in the U.K. It will take a long time to get over this, but as my husband said last night, "the Brits are tough and this will only make them very angry". Then he started quoting Churchill and the words seemed appropriate for this situation, too.

We are from the Oklahoma City area and we lost 168 in the 1995 bombing. Many more were injured, some permanently, and many children were orphaned. We have a special place in our hearts for you all and pray for your well being.

Very well put Lucky, we all feel the same way! Without our family from the UK and London we would be lost. :(

But Thank God, all of them are still with us. :)

Mette, I'm so glad to see you write that. You are exactly right.
Back when all the hijackings were so prevalent, I never stopped flying home and back.

You just can't give up living your normal life when these things happen.
Terrible things are always going to happen - unfortunatley - some man made and so many others are natural disasters.

I'm glad you're going on with your plans. I know you'll have a wonderful time.

I wish everybody from the forum could be at the convention, but that will probably never happen. Unless of course Patrick invites us and agrees to fly everybody in from everywhere     On second thought....that will probably never happen either

I do wish everybody could be there though :D

You have all been so very sweet! London is getting back to normal today - well as normal can be. My husband has just gone into Central London and taken the tube across to another mainline station to go to his parents for the weekend. It is amazing how the services have got most of the tubes and buses running again.

Anne was right - we Brits are very resiliant! We pick ourselves back up very quickly, brush off the dust and crack on again! Especially Londoners, we have had to put up with Wars, a multitude of IRA bombs and now terrorism. I just hope this is the last of it - although I doubt it very much

Thanks again for all your kind words :D

Well what a crappy end to my little holiday. We hadn't heard the news all week, and we were only saying last night that it is now much safer to be in Northern Ireland than in London. Then we turn on the TV this morning to this terrible news. My jaw dropped.

Airport security has greatly increased in recent years, but there is still a distinct lack of it where buses and trains are concerned.

So glad to hear that everyone who lives or works down there is ok.

We will NEVER give in to terrorists and the convention will go ahead as planned. My heart goes out to the families who have lost their loved ones but I'm so happy that none of our Wonderlanders were amongst them.

Glad to see that everyone is here and ok. I am very sorry you had to go through this especially since you had good news just before. Congratulations on the Olympics and for coming through this turbulent time with heads held up and pride showing through.

As a native New Yorker, I know how you feel.
