Woo hoo!
I thought a hospital was involved. Why didn't I ask?

Um, let's think. :? Ok, got it (it might be quite hard, jdl): :D

Some people are looking for something, but it just doesn't seem to be there. Then, it is there. What is it, and how did it appear? And why did they want it?

1. Is what these people looking for a solid/liquid object?
2. Is the answer to #1 even important? ( )
3. Did they want it to help others?
4. (If answer to 3 = no) Did they want it for their own convenience?

I have a feeling that this one will be very hard indeed.

Oops, sorry, what I meant was did they want it to help other people (who are not looking for it), but I can see that the answer to that is a no... Right?

As usual, funny offshoot story guess before normal questions:
Some: spectators
What's not there: a coin which was *just* vanished by a magician.
Why it's there: he reappeared it, duh!
Why they wanted it: they were curious!

That's wild, and I KNOW it's wrong (if it's right, then  ) but it's just such a funny idea, isn't it?!

:? Actually I think there is few information, but I'll give it a try :D

Some people are looking for something, but it just doesn't seem to be there.
Is what these people looking for a solid/liquid object? I think so.
1 Do you mean you're not even sure what it is? :o :o
2 Is it:
a. literally a matter/stuff consisting of molecules/atoms or such?
b. If a=yes, is it solid, liquid or gas?
c. something physical, but not a matter? For example, time, energy, distance, light, warmth etc.
d. something abtract, like a feeling/emotions or property
e. If it's none of these, which one is closest.

Some people are looking for something, but it just doesn't seem to be there.

3 Are they.
a. real people? Like you , me, Napoleon or G.W. Bush?
b. specific people? For example, it can be Napoleon but not you or me. It can be Stinky but not Loof.
c. people who could be real but not really are? From a book, movie etc.
d. people who can't be real? For example, Superman, Stinky, Santa Claus, the white king in chess.
e. If it's none of these, which one is closest.

but it just doesn't seem to be there.

4 Do you mean it only doesn't seem to be there, but in fact it is there? Or it isn't there at all?

Then, it is there.
5 After how much time is it there?
a. Is it to be said in seconds, minutes, hours,.......,millennia?
b. If yes, how many?

I gotta admit, time was one of my instant guesses - e.g. When you want time, it might not be there so you have to do other stuff to get more time.

[silliness] And they wanted it to play Wonderland games! [/silliness]

1. Is it a daily object / common object?
2. If it's an uncommon / rare object, is it a mineral? a valuable one?
3. Does time of day / lightning matter to this puzzle?
If so, would it be something reflective (e.g. Diamond)?

(If it's valuable) Did they want it to make money? To sell it?

Okay, that's all the Yes/No questions I can think of right now.

About some questions which are not really Yes/No questions, I think I said before: I like to keep it compact. One multiple choice question instead of 4 y/n questions, or the question "how many" instead of more then 10? more then 100? etc.

When you have a integer number in mind between 0 and 1000, I need to ask about 10 y/n questions to get it. In case of a number between 0 and 1000000 about 20 questions. I think it's easier for you and me when I ask then:"how many" or "a,b,c or d". Ok?

1 What part(s) is/are not wrong?
a spectators
b coin
c vanished
d magican
e reappear
f curious
g other
1 Do I mean I'm not even sure what it is? I am sure. Would that be a yes or a no?
When you say: "I think so" then I think you're not sure 8)

2 So the "something" is a solid matter. Is it
a. a matter consisting of little particles like sand, salt or money
b. an object of one piece, like a stone or a coin
2. If it's an uncommon / rare object, is it a mineral? a valuable one? No.
3 You mean No on both question? It's not a mineral and it's not valuable?
3. Does time of day / lightning matter to this puzzle? Yes.
If so, would it be something reflective (e.g. Diamond)? No.
So it's not reflective. 4 Does it send light by itself?
5 Do both things; time of day and lightness, matter or only one of them? In that case, which one?
a. real people? Partly.*
c. people who could be real but not really are? Yes.
d. people who can't be real? *Partly.
I think that's impossible. :?
6 Are there more people and some of them are real, some could be real but are not, and some of them couldn't be real?
7 Can this story happen in real life?

It is there, but it doesn't seem to be there.
8 It doesn't seem to be there just for those specific people, or for most people, or everyone?

Oops, I forgot. I thought I had answered it.

a No (is wrong)
b No
c No
d Yes
e Yes, but he didn't do it
f No
g No

2 So the "something" is a solid matter. Is it
a. a matter consisting of little particles like sand, salt or money? No
b. an object of one piece, like a stone or a coin? No

3 You mean No on both question? It's not a mineral and it's not valuable? I mean, it's not a valuable mineral.
4 Does it send light by itself? I'm not sure.
5 Do both things; time of day and lightness, matter or only one of them? In that case, which one? Lightness.
6 Are there more people and some of them are real, some could be real but are not, and some of them couldn't be real? Yes.
7 Can this story happen in real life? No.
8 It doesn't seem to be there just for those specific people, or for most people, or everyone? Everyone.

Let's see... magicians, can't happen in real life...
Something along the lines of The Illusionist? (film, which I've never seen)

1 What part(s) is/are not wrong?
a spectators
b coin
c vanished
d magican
e reappear
f curious
g other
------------
a No (is wrong)
b No
c No
d Yes
e Yes, but he didn't do it
f No
g No
So...
1 there is a magican involved?
2 The "something" is reappeared? (but not by the magican)
2 So the "something" is a solid matter. Is it
a. a matter consisting of little particles like sand, salt or money? No
b. an object of one piece, like a stone or a coin? No
3 So it is more then one object?
4 How many?
3 You mean No on both question? It's not a mineral and it's not valuable? I mean, it's not a valuable mineral.
Ok but will you please answer both questions seperately:
5 Is it a mineral?
6 Is it valuable?
5 Do both things; time of day and lightness, matter or only one of them? In that case, which one? Lightness.
7 Did "it" not seem to be there because it was dark?
7 Can this story happen in real life? No.
Indeed, you say, some of the people are not real or can't be real. But..
8 Is the "something / it" real?
9 Is the story an existing story from a book, movie, game (or something like that)? In that case, a book, movie, game, or other?

2 In a manner of speaking. He thought he was blind again, and he was so sad about it, that he committed suicide.

Congratulations Darshan! :D :D :D

No. The tallest tree on Earth is 83.8 meters. I mean, seriously. If there was a plant that tall it would be almost towering way up into the atmosphere like Jack and the Beanstalk or something. :?

Incorrect.
Can anyone else get the answer?
(I'm joking - there can only be two answers.)

It was a trick question. I devilishly meant the business plant definition instead of the green stuff you get outside.

No manmade thing has ever been taller than 3,000 meters, unless you're referring to units.

There are some "climbing" plants growing on other trees or on stone walls of buildings.

Image

Would it be possible that such a plant grows on a big rock somewhere in the Himalaya mountains? (which are much higher then 3 km) 8)

To the puzzle about something not being there and suddenly being there:

Was it a portal/vortex? Was it Aliens and magicians(or whatever) looking for a portal/vortex to lead them somewhere?

Was it a black hole that was on auction and that was unstable on the other side and leads you about 80 years worth away at warp speed?(Yeah, got that from Star Trek.)
