It was originally going to be AUS-like ( going off the edge, any accessible edge, takes you somewhere else), but with scrolling levels, in order to help the plot, but since I don't really want to add a limited teleportation system like in AUS I'll try and think of something else.

Right. Well, the problem you're having is that Zeff is being shoved through the floor by the force of gravity. This also causes him to not be capable of moving. Send the gmk to me and I'll give you a near-flawless collision engine.

Oh, oops. The sign I coded only works everywhere. I overlooked that. And I might need multiple signs in the same place. How do you make an object check if it's touching another object?

In the "control" tab there's a blue sphere. Use it: "If there's an object at a position". MAKE SURE TO CHECK IN THE "RELATIVE" BOX THIS TIME!

Problem: There are two sprites for ground right now, dirt and grass. If on grass, Zeff can go through dirt. Otherwise dirt is solid.

Hrmf. I have spikes, ground, scrolling, signs, and an easy to beat enemy. But I haven't found anything that makes the game fun yet.

Hmm... Maybe these might help:

-Good plot (grabs the player!)
-Fitting music (boringish game without music...)
-Good difficulty curve (of course!)
-New things appear often (the player will want to see what will come next!)
-Fun level design (muahahaha!...?)

You need music? Just Google some random music tracks and download. Hopefully they'll be midi's. Be careful, though, some audio sites are in the worst corners of the internet.

I think I'll use this thread to post this, even though it's unrelated:

If you were playing a graphical (Has pictures) adventure game, which plot would you prefer:

The graphics in the game are awful! Why?... branching off to you trying to fix the graphics.

Inspector Pete, hired so he'd stop bugging the Chief, is taken captive and escapes easily. The Chief dude explains to him that various detectives and secret agents have been kidnapped, and Inspector Pete tries to convince him to let him onto the case.

Wow, I could have been working on Quests instead of asking that. :D
