I'm back

As some of you know I was out of town for 2 weeks, but I'm back, I have missed you all and I'm so very sorry to hear the sad news about Shorty.

We went to Tulsa, OK and got my dad's house packed up and got him moved to my sister's in Arkansas. His cancer is terminal and he's in total denial. I'm glad we were there to help or they'd still be trying to get things done. Making phone calls and such was left up to me and now that I'm home I got the task of making his funeral arrangements so my sister can concentrate on taking care of him and making him comfortable. Hospice has been wonderful.

It's good to be home and as they say 'there's no place like home'.

Monica there seems to be so much sadness here lately, I'm very sorry to hear about your father. I hope his last days are as pain free as possible, I'll keep a thought and a prayer for him and your family.

I am very sorry to hear about your Dad. It's not gonna be easy and I wish you and your family alot of strength to help you thru this. Your in my thoughts and prayers.

Thanks everyone. Seems like I've been gone forever. My sister called today and hospice finally got some morphine for him so that should help with the pain. She's got the hard job, she's never cared for an elderly person before so she calls me about 3 or 4 times a day and vice a versa. I used to be a Certified Nurse Aide so I know what she's gotten herself into. If it hadn't been so far away we would have brought him here, but our extra bedroom is a computer room. (my hubby and I both have our own pc's)(got to play my games). Life sure is scary some times, I know I don't look forward to getting older. Sort of funny, cause when your younger you can't wait to get older.

My husband's been a real trooper and a big help, I'm so lucky to have him. Were ready to pack up and go again if we need to.
