A Special Message for Kiki.

Post by ann3120 » Thu Apr 05, 2007 3:38 am

Kiki, I just have to tell you how beautiful Kentucky is at this time of year. We have just driven from Corpus Christi, TX to Sturgis, MI and then on to Lebanon, TN, and your state is gorgeous. We've seen some really pretty country, but I guess it was getting to KY at the height of Spring that did it for me. Redbuds, Dogwood, Forsythia, and even Lilac that I have not seen blooming unless I've been in England. TN is extremely beautiful too, but Spring is just about over. It was hot when we got here on Monday, 86F, but now it's cold and getting colder with a hint of snow before Easter. Isn't it always the way.

. . . . and now let me tell you about the KY roads. OMG, they're so awful ! ! ! ! ! We left Louisville heading south on the interstate that would take us through Bowling Green, but it was so bad, in a big truck pulling a big 5th-wheel, that we decided to take the back roads, and it was so much better - and prettier too. I love what we saw of KY, and I would love to see more, but I swear, I'd have to walk next time. My bones are reasonably well covered right now, but it would take a lot of padding to improve that journey. Maybe it's better in and around Lexington. I sure hope so for your sake ! ! ! ! But it's really beautiful. You are so lucky.

:D :D :D Awww, why thank you Ann, This is the time of year when Kentucky is the most beautiful, the weather is perfect with no humidity, Though it is cold tonight and we did have a bad storm last night, It is a very beautiful state as is Tenn, and the surrounding states Ohio Ind and W. Virginia.
bowling Green is a very pretty area I have been there once, The Mammoth Caves are in that area.
Sorry about the roads, They are always this way after winter, We had three weeks of below freezing temps that I'm sure did the roads in, They keep them up fairly good in Lexington itself, Some roads that is
The road from Lowville (How they say it, Kinda! ) is such a relaxing drive.
May all your journeys be as pleasant.
Take care :D :D :D
