Today, Korea and Japan are again thinking of petitioning to the concerned authority of the United Nations "Feng Shui civilization (風水文化)" as human non-material civilization heritage. And for this, they have already performed a great deal of preparation work and propaganda.

As we know, "Feng Shui" is a product of the Chinese civilization. Archeologists have already proved, from what have been dug out from ancient times, that as long as approximately 6500 years ago, the existence of four models known as "Qing lung (green dragon)", "Bai Hu (white tiger)", "Chu Ckeuk (red bird)", "Xien Wu (black turtle)" and it is these four models together with perspectives on the universe that structured the soul of the beauty of the Chinese architecture. This has been passed onto us 6500 years later.

As we all know, "Feng Shui" is a Chinese civilization heritage to the world, as well as the soul to the planning and building of ancient Chinese capitals, cities and villages. Without "Feng Shui", the world civilization would have lost the Chinese ecological basic theory and model for the planning and building of ancient villages and cities.

We also know that "Feng Shui" is still the life model of all Chinese worldwide. It is the Chinese culture with its original ecology, blanketing the lifestyles of the ancient East Asia. It is a lifestyle that originated in China, continuing for thousands of years, and is still now one that embraces a vast territory including China itself.

When we step through the dwellings of ancient villages and cities which saw the ups and downs of history, we would feel like turning pages of old, faintly yellow photographs. They bring us shakes, as well as heart-throbbing warmth from the past, like tender kisses of our mothers on the face and warm caresses of our fathers on the head. It is so familiar and genial.

This is the memory of our ecology! This is the soul behind building and architecture! This is "Feng Shui" civilization!

But, if ever one day, you are told, that this shake and warmth came from a foreign land, would you have a feeling of being fooled?

If ever one day, your children are told that this shake and warmth came from a foreign land, would they feel like being abandoned by their parents?

If ever one day, your parents are told that this shake and warmth came from a foreign land, would they feel like being betrayed by their children?

The answer is Yes! Definitely Yes! Ladies and Gentlemen, the danger is not far away! The Koreans and the Japanese are cutting the umbilical cord that nurtures our civilization!
