Challengo-Cool Game!- I have uploaded it!

Post by ben-09 » Thu Dec 11, 2008 2:18 am

This is a game a found that is made with game maker.

It is similar to wonderland but is a bit more action-orientated.

It has a level editor so you can post your levels here.

I am currently on level 11.

:D :D :D

Okay, reached level 11. I can complete it, but I make little mistakes early that pay me back later.

The thing I don't like about Challengo: Too easy to make a mistake!

No, but I'm working on it. Here's a partial solution:
Go down and collect the key and points. Open the blue gate. Using the blocks, form a 2x2 square in the water as far left as you can make it. Then add one more block to fill in the gap between the square and the part to your left. Make a bridge right using the square you already have and continuing the bridge with ice. Then navigate the ice maze. Go to the part when you encouter the beetles. Find a big gap between them and join the line until you reach the green button. Then get back in line and enter the green gate when you get there. Then go down to the force fields. Get the shards, cross the cracked platforms, and walk down the lilypads
I've gotten farther than that, but I will continue this later.

Ben-09, by "level 11," do you mean, "Putting it all Together?" If so, then I've got to level 12, "Backyard." :D But god! The movement is SO sensitive to key presses.

I think this game is based on Chip, an older game I'd say. This game has better graphics, and I wonder what we could make with that level editor... :o

A Chip's Challenge clone, huh? I think I might actually try it. Chip's Challenge was great but the level design (except for a few) wasn't that great and it's hard to scout the good ones in fan maps.
I hope Challengo will have better levels...

EDIT: Yep, it does. Just got to "Backyard"...

-Ancient Ants Adventure
-Mario Builder

I tried to load my custom level "Obstacles" but the window said
The Extension lee is not allowed

Ok, I tried making a level with the Challengo editor.

The editor is really, really, horribly wrong. :?
I save my level, load it, and chaos! It seems to me that they did not do a very good job on the editor. :( Has anyone else had more success than I have?

The editor is perfectly fine! Did you read the directions in the F10 help file? The level requires at least one Ray (character you play) and one Ray controller (the picture of Ray in a box on second page) for a one-player level. What do you mean by chaos? For me, the editor works very well.

Suggestions:
+ When you place the controller and music tiles (or maybe weather effects) make sure it is under the main screen.
+ Do you have a music tile? It's required to make the level run

It just doesn't work for me. :? Reading the help file was the very first thing I tried. Didn't help. Whenever I play the level, it turns to chaos.

Ray controller? Um, I'll try again...
Nope.

Where is this Ray controller? All I ever see is Ray!? :?: Yes, I do know there's a second page.
