I think to make a chessboard in a forum-post is not possible, because each post has only one background color.

The symbols I got "by coincidence" because they are in the character set of a Mac (Apple computer)

Yes it's possible, but I find it hard to do. But actually I said that more just for fun (sort of a little joke), because I found the symbols for chess-pieces, but they appear on a same-color-background.
