Where do you live, Fan No 1, and how old are you ? ?
In America the word "holiday" refers to Bank Holidays - Thanks Giving, Christmas, New Year, July 4th, etc. etc.
In the UK "holiday" refers to vacation time, and in your question, you are talking about the break in the middle of your school term, aren't you ? ?
So glad you've heard from your uncle - you must be feeling happier now. Keep us posted as you hear more news. At least the very worst part of the storm in Mecico is now over as Wilma leaves and heads out over water again towards Florida.
Stay cheerful, and tell us a bit about yourself.

Fan no.1 I live in the U.S. and we are not on Holiday yet, but when we do go on Holiday I'll be sure to let you know how it was.
My last three days, nope make that 4 days have involved 2 children small
(Emily & Katie, my niece) with the stomack flu... & I'll leave the rest to your imagination.

Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.
