Veterans Day
Veterans Day
I don't know if we have any Veterans on this forum, but if we do, I want to thank you for what you did to help keep America alive and to fight for your, mine and everyone's freedom. Thank you

I don't know if it's the same thing but today is Armistice Day here in Britain. Remembrance Day is the nearest Sunday so that will be this Sunday coming, when we remember all those who died in war so that we could be free. We all wear a poppy to signify the poppy fields of the war graves. Poppies grew in abundance after the bombings in the war as they like to grow in disturbed soil.

I didn't know that about poppies. From the reading I did on the net, it is the same thing. Here in the US, they changed it to honor all Veterans, not just WWI veterans. According to the reading, (please correct me if I'm wrong), Armistice Day was when the treaty was signed and everything ended concerning the war. Please correct me if wrong.
