Growing up

Post by amy25 » Thu Dec 29, 2005 5:54 pm

k. I might get weepy when it comes. I just had to place an order for a toddler bed for my oldest child. He can definitely climb in and out of the crib now. I got out the shower this morning and he was standing on his dresser, which is pushed away from his crib. *sigh* Kids grow up way too fast.
If you want to be somebody, if you want to go somewhere, you have to wake up and pay attention.

They really do. That's why you take every moment you can with them ~ even if it means that the house doesn't always get cleaned the way you like or the laundry doesn't always get completely done. There is plenty of time for those things when they're gone.

I used to have picnics outside with the boys. Or we'd spend the day playing games. Or we would decide to bake cookies (so they could eat the dough you know!!)

That doesn't mean we did those things every day but we took the moments when we could!!

Amy, I can sympathize with you 100%, Emily lost her first tooth last night  :? :D  She was pretty cute getting her tooth in the envelope & addressing it to the Tooth Fairy, I on the other hand was totally stund when Emily informed me the the Tooth Fairy was going to bring her $100.00.  She was very happy :D :D when she woke up and found 5 single dollar bills tucked under her pillow.

Twohappylane, I live by a very simple rule: If your coming to my house to visit me & my family your wolcome. If your coming to inspect my housekeeping skills you better bring your own dust rag.

I'm right with you, Amy. This week my daughter showed me how to lean over the rails of her crib and I caught her mid-air. Now she sleeps in a pack-n-play where the railings are much higher while we wait for a bed rail. (Her crib turns into a jr. bed, but she'll roll out of it, I know.)

Loirae if u have a spare matress just lie it next to the bed on the floor and viola no more worries.then just slide it under out of the way .the rail will have to come off eventually and then u will be back in panic mode.life is stressfull enough without creating more for urself.
