Oh ya lil stinker you!! Got pinched over and over until I could count and see and then it was a gazillion more restarts to use what I had the right way.
Great stuff Mark! Great to get a level of yours without help fer a change. Thanks!!!!

Blessed are those who can give without remembering and take without forgetting.Mark
I GOT IT!!!!!
You are brilliant!! Looked around and knew what 'could' be done, but 'couldn't' figure out how to do it. Kept shoving things around and kinda by accident, ended up where I wanted to go.
First ever for me, to get one of your levels. It's a Fantastic feeling too.
You really are a sly one.
THANKS for the FUN!
ps. although it did take me all morning. lol

I kept trying and trying and......well that wasn't working so I thought well why the heck not and sure 'nough it worked. I won't tell you what came out of my mouth at that precise moment along with a bit of a chuckle.
As Bill and Ted once said 'excellent'. Great one Mark, I enjoyed it.

Well, shucks! I'm not getting this one.
I've moved those barrels this way and that way and keep kerplunking in the lake. May I have some help, please?

I should learn when playing Mark-levels that "when in doubt, try the unexpected"; it usually works, but my brain is too straightforward. Took numerous attempts, but made it home. Brilliant as usual Mr. Markus!!

Thanks, Monica. That did it. I put those barrels every which way, but didn't think about that glitch.
Great, great level, Mark!

Angel, I went ahead and sent you the PM. Isn't this a cool game?

(I've called you by every 'wrong' name so far; I think I figured it out....Angel In Australia, or Austria, Austin?) My apologies for using the wrong name/s.

If I wouldn't have done Whippersnapper before (and only by accident) I surely would fall for this one.
I don't mind reusing tricks, but well makes it easier...
I usually try to mask old tricks by misdirection -- that's why you will never see a cheesy old trick rehash without a great dose of "something else".
P.S. I think I'm back but it doesn't mean that I'm any more inspired for levelmaking for now.

Rest in peace, Kym. I hardly knew ya.
Rest in peace, Marinus. A bright star, you were ahead of me on my own tracks of thought. I miss you.

LOL, I didn't say it was bad, just said that it made things easier.
The Jumping Bean is an example of what I menat by masking a trick. Mark, when you're around I can fall for anything!!

By a cheesy old trick rehash I mean that which can be solved instantly by anyone who knows the trick.
Misdirection can serve against that.
In this case, it's either Mark's burnout, or that in "Whippersnapper" the misdirection was so perfect, one would remember such a trick for a LOOOOONG time.
I don't think that incorporating old tricks in new levels is wrong, just because when the misdirection isn't good enough, it may make things too easy for those who know the trick.
I agree, the phrase itself is very dumb, and doesn't say what I wanted to say. I basically wrote that post in a hurry -- please, forgive me for that.

It's definitely burnout, though I'm honored you remember "Whippersnapper" when I first discovered this trick. My older levels are so complex (even for me) that I was trying for something basic and simple here. Now if only my muse of inspiration would return.Muzozavr wrote:it's either Mark's burnout, or that in "Whippersnapper" the misdirection was so perfect, one would remember such a trick for a LOOOOONG time.
