New Level (Adv) - The Terminator

Post by LEMARQUIS » Wed Mar 26, 2008 4:14 am

Hey Guys...

Mark and I combined our efforts again to create this original level... Mark did pretty much all the logic so he's the mastermind behind the puzzle... I came out with the models and concept idea...

Please make sure you download the MODELS & TEXTURES so you can see the TERMINATOR. I had to split the MODELS in 2 files because the maximum per .zip file is 800 kb... So make sure the 3 models are in the same folder (MarquisM6)...

Enjoy!

Mark & LeMarquis

I've given it many hours already: I'm not giving up yet, but I've got other things to do in my life, so I'll get to it later.

So far, I can EITHER kill the bad red dude, OR fill up the bottom ice-way (with other barrel and prism), but not both.

The texture is very cool industrial, 8) and the models are brilliant! Congratulations LeM on making these. :D :D

I can't make any headway with this puzzle. It seems totally impossible to me, but I'm not very logical!

The Terminator..

Post by LEMARQUIS » Thu Mar 27, 2008 6:55 pm

Ok .. here's the first hints...

Use the barrel to free the zbots, then the prism to trap them
bring back the prism and place the reflector to kill the terminator
Use the barrel to fill the water
put the reflector on the royal blue button

bring back the prism
Here is where I am stuck: it is easy to trap the Z-bots and make them serve me, but then I find no way to bring the prism back to the right section without being caught in the terminator's fire.

Trap the zbots in the room with the 2 buttons. Then wait til one of the zbots is on the top button (go between the zbots, one up, one down) to push the prism left then hide underneath.

Yes, I saw that move before, but what I failed to see is that it is possible to take the prism up again from that bottom line.

Now I got it and Loof is out with an undeserved gold coin.

Thanks!

What an amazing puzzle Mark, in an amazing setting provided by LeMarquis. :D :D

I'm afraid that even with the video solution I can't do it. I think I'm too old to get the timing right in several places.

Never mind - it's a tour de force for those able to do it! 8)

Oh I see, the original was not hard enough...

OK, I did it - but why did you take away all those nice buttons?

That was a cool trick! Wish I had thought of it.
Even though I knew what to do, You-Know-Who got caught in the gate.
Thanks for showing me how you did it, LeMarquis! :D

The 'you know who" was caught once in the gate - that immediately called for the old trick from "Terminal Velocity II" (MUZ151).

I couldn't see the terminator and truck models properly on my laptop so I figured some other users had the same problem...

Popo kindly modified the models for me... and now it works perfectly!

Many many thank to Popo! Popo you're awesome!

I updated the models on my first post as revised!

Hi Mark & LeMarquis, I did try this excellent level, ...
it is quite complex and I couldn't
solve it, had to look at Mark's video solution. :)
