New Level (adv) - Mystery of the Moor 12

Post by Liz Mayhew » Wed Jun 18, 2008 8:26 am

451LIZM - Mystery of the Moor 12

Next one is the Finale of this series folks.

In this level Qookie is visiting Buckfast Abbey and finds Loof at last.

You'll need the Dartmoor texture which you must have by now, download here if not:

http://www.pcpuzzle.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=16176

and you'll also need the LizDevonH house set which has been used a couple of times in this series.

Have fun! :D :D

Very nice level as usual. :D Too bad it's almost done :( I hope you use the texture etc. many times more. 8)

I looked once with the editor to see if there was much stuff hidden in the houses. :? For I made twice a mistake by pushing a woodbox in the corner, probably meant for the yellow button. Never mind. 8)

Thanks! :D

I was already to say a few things but didn't want to give anything away so I'll just leave it as this: Exceptional thru and thru, I loved the signs and yes when I was "done" I was able to get on with my game play.

Thank you for this treat :D :P :D :P

Hey Marinus, I probably will use it again if the mood takes me, but you and anyone else can use the texture. Keeks already did. 8)

Sorry about the box getting stuck in the house corner. I don't like hiding much stuff in houses. It's boring hunting through invisible areas.

Cathy - glad you made it! :D :D

Thanks :D but I don't think I can ever create such levels like Kiki and you which are so appropriate to use that texture. But I like to play them. :D And I don't like hidden things either, but taking a look with the editor sometimes helps me to find the solution. 8)

This was certainly a hard one: took me half a day to put all the elements together in the right order.

Great level, excellent ideas - thanks!

Collect coins left bottom (conveyor timer), Push boulder down and right at the right moment. When conveyor is still, push barrel over conveyor through green TP as far as possible. Next round of kaboom, repeat this with the boulder to destroy steel box. Loof is free then.

Sheeesh Lizzie! This one has taken me a good part of the morning to work out!

I kept putting things in the wrong place and doing things out of order.

Finally made the right moves in the right sequence and got the kids home safe, great fun!

Thanks bunches,

I just don't know what to do after the beginning, is the barrel Loof pushed left used to get rid of boomer? I'm at a complete loss here, I don't know where anything goes all I know is somethings got to go on that white button. I need to many boxes to get to the travelator. Just not seeing things clearly. More help please.

You don't kill a monk though? (or a pony or whatever) You only need 4 boxes to go to the travelator and there are enough. The only thing you need is space. And that's what you get by an explosion. (Or is that too cryptic? 8) )

You definitely don't kill the monk. He's there to help, like the sign says.

I'll post a spoiler a bit later. It'll take me a while ...

EDIT: OK - it's a bit later.

WALKTHROUGH
1. Qookie goes in and out of the green TP then walks down to the south west corner to collect the coins off the buttons. Return to the sign above the boulder. When the “monk” has passed the boulder, push it down and right which diverts him to operate the timer switch.
2. Wait below the barrel on the left. As soon as the conveyor stops push the barrel up through the green TP and follow. Push the barrel as far as you can. Wait until it’s safe to go back through the TP. Then push the boulder up and left. When the conveyor stops again push the boulder through the TP to blow the barrel and some steel boxes. Follow and stand at the top of the alley.
3. Loof is now free and can push a barrel left. Qookie pushes it one down above the ice.
4. When kaboom passes Qookie pushes the top steel box onto the conveyor and across below the ice curve and down to #5 as shown. Then pushes the other boulder up and left. She can hide in Loof’s alleyway when needed. Push the boulder through the TP when the conveyor is stopped.
5. Keep the kaboom circulating for the moment and use Loof and Qookie to build a bridge down to the raft, using boxes 1,2,3,4. When the kaboom is out of the way push the boulder on the raft down to send the other raft left.

Don’t forget to collect bonus coins either side of green TP using both characters.

6. Now to get the kaboom operating the pink timer again. Push box 5 one space right and stand below it. When the kaboom walks down from the top and touches the box he will change direction again. Quickly push the box up to the flower. The kaboom is now going round the rock and working the timer.
7. Using the ice curve get box 5 onto the white button when safe. Using Loof and Qookie get boxes 6 and 7 into the water to collect the top coins.
8. Go to top right corner. Loof pushes wooden box in water, tramps right and up, pushes box left into water and stands on green button. Qookie pushes box up through gate and steps down. Loof pushes box right into water, takes coin off yellow button and stands on green button to let Qookie through. Qookie tramps right and pushes box onto yellow button. From break tile go left and through white TP to get all bonus coins. Loof pushes box off yellow button and onto green button.
9. Loof goes down to the raft and rides it left. Then takes the bottom raft and rides it round into the alcove by the boulder on the blue button. Qookie walks down past the kaboom to the raft. Both can ride to the exit and collect last coins.

Very clever level Lizzie - I had lots of confusion with all the metal boxes :? I was pushing the barrel right over the stopped conveyor followed by a boulder and not through the TP

Brilliant puzzles throughout this whole series - as always, your levels feel like true life adventures :D

Always a joy to play a Mizzy Lizzie level - thanks so much for this one and all your levels :stinkyhappy:

Thanks for the walkthru but I didn't use it...honest. I did use Marinus's spoiler though. I had figured out the use for the other barrel after I posted. I figured out the wood box room early on. I do that sometimes when I mess up I try other sections to see how they go, providing I can get in the other section, every once in awhile that helps me figure out what I did wrong when I messed up earlier.

This was fun, the boomer got one of the stinkers a few times and I pushed a metal box or two into a corner by accident. And yes I did blow up little buddy Loof on the very first start, then I laughed the next time when I switched to Qookie first and read the sign.

Thanks Liz.........
