New Level (Adv) - My RTRTW

Post by Lucky-Luc » Thu Aug 07, 2008 6:09 pm

Well, it turns out that I have much more time than I expected, so I couldn't resist creating another RTW level (and even a new texture). The name is quite stupid, but this is one of those levels that no name really fits. I'm not really used to RTW anymore (though I played a few levels this week), so this level might be relatively easy. Or it's hard. I don't know   .

Enjoy! :D

EDIT: If you don't feel challenged enough, here's a second version with one more bridge. Good luck!

:D :D :D Howdy Lucas, good to see a level from you.
Two fun challenging levels, Loved the boulder puzzle in the version without the extra bridge.
You really have to look ahead on this one.
Thanks and I hope you make another soon. :D :D :D

Great levels! :D :D :D

I guess I did version A a bit different then you Kiki, for this was much easier then the first one. Only I made a 6 tiles jump this time, so the breaktile stayed, but I'll take another look.
Edit:  I read wrong, I thought with the extra breaktile. 8) But indeed, that was a good puzzle, not as hard as the sticky stinker though.

Thanks for the fun. :D :D :D

Thanks for the comments! :D

Okay, the second version obiously didn't work  . Maybe this version will need the intended solution.

:D :D :D I think they worked fine and I'm not even sure what you mean by they didn't work, they are excellent puzzles and judging by the lack of comments I'd say there are stumping some folks.
Just played the newly posted version and I played it just the same as the one without the breaktile in the boulder part. :D :D :D

Thanks! :D

You really solved the first version the same way? So you didn't even use the shortcut?

By "not worked" I only meant fixing the shortcut and only the second version. I like the alternative solution for the first level too, I just wanted to add a version that forces to use the intended solution. Anyway, even if sombody finds another shortcut, I guess I'll leave it the way it is now.

It took me quite a while to do this version B   I did the so called boulder puzzle exactly the same as the original but the rest of the level completely different.
In the first two versions I turned the boulder around on the pink timer and used the steel to stop it on blue. With B I put boulder still on blue and used steel to let other boulder bounce over yellow timer so I could walk over breaktile from yellow timer to boulder-puzzle room, for I see no other ways to jump to there then 5 tiles (Breaktile A, conveyor B) or 6 tiles (coin) And then later I jumped back to pink timer to push boulder in water to travel to green TP
Is that your intended way?

Anyhow, Thanks again for the fun! :D :D :D

I played all three of these and I would have to say that versionB was definitely the trickiest one for me and the most compelling. Order is very important.

Lots of fun, thanks!

No, not really, but that's a nice solution too! :D
I used the metal box at two different spots in my solution; once to stop the purple-gate-bolder and once to make the yellow-gate-one keep rolling. For that, I used a six-tile-jump onto the water tile at the top (which was filled up with a box before, of course)

Thanks :D :D

Oh, and as kiki mentioned, does anybody need help on this level? Please let me know!

you can give me some help Lucas...I've been moving the boulder over the pink timer, using travelator to get that coin in the corrider, pushing box up inot water then using metal box to stop boulder in pink timer area. Collecting coins in tp area then tramping into other boulder area. I can't figure out how to get those buttons covered or even what the other box is for. So help please.....

Do you play the original version? Then the second box is useless because of some shortcuts. The attached image shows how the boulders must be rolled, and also how you can roll one boulder without collecting an important coin.

In the second version, the boulder puzzle can be solved completly different by pushing one boulder to the right and one up. You'll have to use a bigger jump however.

Last but not least, if you play the third (and most difficult) version, you're beginning won't work at all  . You'll either have to use the first boulder or the first wood box (probably harder) in a different way...

OK I finished the first two, guess I needed the photo, It never dawned on me to try the boulders backward but I'm still stuck on the third version. IThe only way I see to tramp in there I land where the one coin is and now there's nothing to block pushing the other boulder and I see no other way to use the box or boulder.

Monica, when you read my spoiler and Lukas's one about the third version (B), you still don't know?
You should first enter that 2 boulder/2 button room over breaktile/ice curves instead of jumping

Actually I don't think I ever really read your spoiler Marinus. But I have now. Thanks for all the help. Pretty nifty versions Lucas. I really like the texture also.
