New Level - Gamma-Ray Bursts

Post by Carolyn » Wed Jun 02, 2004 8:22 pm

There are, in the universe, stars that explode that are a thousand times more massive than our sun... Some are called Supernovas and some are called Hypernovas... Gamma-Rays bursts are Hypernovas... Read more about it below:

http://imagine.gsfc.nasa.gov/docs/scien ... ursts.html
and here
http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ap030325.html

By the way... when our sun dies, in about 5 billion years.. it will be nothing but a 'White dwarf'... no nova at all...

maybe this is already revealed in the "Picture Me" contest or something, but are you an amateur astronomer by any chance? Just curious. (And no, I'm not.)

:D I bow my head to your greatness.........this has to be my FAVORITE level yet. Normally I don't like the 'dark' but this little puzzle, linked to another little puzzle.......perfect. I messed up once with the space dogs  but it was so much fun going back and doing it again.
I saw this as soon as I got home from work last eve and played it before nighty-night.

More, please!!
Yes, I'm a donkey......

Hi Carolyn,

This is a truly GREAT level - very well thought out

Fortunately, the first thing I do now on any new level is to see how many rainbow coins are needed and count those visable on the level.

Many thanks,

Cosmic puzzle, first attempt 42 coins.. then for the next 5 goes my best was 18 LOL( See everytime I play I lose a few brain cells) then I started taking more care and finished after a detour to find the last coin, thank goodness I play without a timer... Thank you I loved it.

No... LinkyNStoof, I am not a amateur astronomer... I just have an interest in the Universe and all the stars... Most the information or knowledge I have gotten has been from the net... Its mind boggling just how HUGE the Universe is... The earth is nothing but a mote of dust in the vastness of the Universe... Read Carl Sagan's 'Reflection on a mote of Dust'... at:

http://www.seds.org/billa/psc/pbd.html

I printed it out and have it hanging above my desk... to remind me.. I guess... Its rather enlighten just how small the earth and all of us, really are...

I have been trying to figure out how to do a level on a black hole... I just haven't figured out yet how to do it.... but I will... hehee.... ... maybe...

Great level, Carolyn. :D I kept making dumb mistakes, but I got there in the end. When freightrain saw the level, he said "WOW!" Very high compliment from him. :D I had a lot of fun with it. Thanks. :D
