New Level: Come and go

Post by sfseaman » Mon Jul 05, 2004 10:50 pm

Whew -- there's a lot to work with here. Also some new interesting quirks to play with. I utilized one of the quirks in this level (sorry - you'll have to find it out for yourself). Another I just ignored. Another (scouge blasts which disappear part way through its trajectory) I had to work around. If anyone has a use for that last one, I can try to reproduce it, but I don't really know when that happens. Also had fun discovering about powder kegs and transporters, when it works and when it doesn't.

I can't imagine when I'll ever have time to figure out custom houses and objects but look forward to the creativity I know all of you will show in that area. No custom content in this level.

Anyway, with all the new characters and features, I have trouble knowing if this is difficult or straightforward. I look forward to hearing from all of you.

Has anyone tried this level? I am working on another one, but am still getting used to deluxe and would find any feedback helpful. Thanks.

Hi Steve,

I am still working on this level, get back to you when it's finished.

Don't worry, we are all a bit slower with the feedback at present.

You know why, don't you?????????

Just been back to have another go.

Lost a powder keg down the blue transporter but they went down the purple one ok :!: :?:

Invisible boxes got in my way at the green transporter when I was trying to put a reflector there.

Didn't notice anything funny with the scouge.

Needless to say I haven't completed it, and probably never will.

Hi sfseaman,

Just downloaded and played this level

I managed to get all of the coins and bonus coins after a few attempts.

To be honest I used the majic to my advantage so I was able to complete the level without using the prisms or having to use all of the wooden boxes - no chompers after me

Maybe this is how you intended it :?:

Anyway it was a very good logical level using facilities which are still relatively new to all of us

Thanks,

Thanks for the feedback.

Malcdelsol -- You know sometimes when designing a level you get so caught up with your own convoluted puzzle making that you miss the obvious, I don't know how many times I've played this and never seen the obvious -- the crystals aren't needed, although they are pretty when you use them.

Pauline -- Thanks for your persistence. If you want some hints follow. Anyway, thanks for the feed back

**CAUTION -- SPOILER**

The design won't allow a powder keg to travel through the blue transporter, but the good news is you don't need it.

The green transporter is indeed at a majical place, I wasn't aware that a reflector could not be transported there, but the good news is you don't need that either. If you solve this area before moving on to others (except red, of course) you should be able to use the majic to your advantage.

Wow this is a hard one...
I see that you don't have to use all of the goodies, but I so desperately wanted to

You are making some good levels, Steve!

The difference between the levels made by the men and the women is always evident.
You guys are different

SUCCESS! SUCCESS! SUCCESS! SUCCESS!

BTW Steve, do you get the impression that I have completed this?

I have been looking at this level all wrong, couldn't fathom it out at all. :?

Then today, WHAM! It hit me and I am now a happy wee teddy bear. :D

Bring on the next one, I can take it! HAHAHA.
