The Companion Cube is a cube from the game "Portal". You need to use it alot to get through one of the levels. You end up incinerating it in the end.

My smilie's color isn't the same as yours. Yours is much closer to pure blue, while mine is more blue-cyan. As for the eyes, every sane person would draw big eyes for shocked smilies.
