I've found that just spending some time listening to various music helps, so now I do that a lot.

I have NO idea when this adventure will be finished or even if it will ever be released, but guess away.

I have the same problem SS, I get tons of ideas then scrap them.
If anyone wants to use this, I thought of a big fort, that had Z-Adjusted bridges as the fence. :P

I could make adventures loads scarier and more intense than Gem Chompers, but most would get the label of being too close to Gem Chompers, which bugs me.

For instance, in my quadriology, after A Day At The Zoo and Dream Cave comes The Mysterious Idol, which is supposed to be an extremely scary and very maze-y pyramid exploration level, but it involves things like dead stinkers and invisible chompers, so it would be too close to GC. :x

I am still willing to try making original and scary adventures, but GC has become more an obstacle than a source of inspiration for that.

Maybe, but sometimes you don't need monsters or dead stinkers to make the adventure scary. My next adventure will have (if it goes according to plan) ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in the way of monsters or NPC's, except for a weird bodyless voice who claims to be your "Only friend". :o

It's also loosely based off an internet game I played some time ago called "KOLM". Unlike Maze, I wanted this adventure to have quite a few major changes, so that I don't feel like I'm ripping off somebody else's idea.

Someone should do the Scary Maze Game in wonderland with game maker. Your playing a normal maze playing as stinky, and then a giant evil loof pops up.

Just because you have an idea doesn't make it bad. Wonderland + Horror = Wonderland Horror. Which isn't a bad thing.

@yot yot: KOLM is a good game to play when you have spare time, and the "only guiding voice" is very evident, as well as in the game Depict1. I like the sort of "lost" feel as you explore an abandoned environment.

Dang it, I had almost the exact same idea!

And as of today, I'm not accepting any more people for A Day At The Zoo. Which means I can actually start working on it for real now.

My next "Horror" thing will be called "Silence of the Chompers". Quite obviously, the title is taken from "Silence of the Lambs" but I've never watched it. IDK What it'll be about but it will include chompers.

How do you make a chomper silent? xD

YOU'RE OBVIOUSLY PATHETIC. REMEMBER, GEM CHOMPERS REDUCED MY LITTLE SISTER TO TEARS AND MY BEST FRIEND WAS SHAKING WHILE HE WAS PLAYING IT. YOU'RE SIMPLY TRYING TO MAKE IT SEEM BAD SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO MAKE PART 3.

Seriously though, if you aren't ever going to make part 3, just tell us. We won't hate you. We promise! :)

Gem chompers TWO was more Reducing-To-Tears-Ish than the original one. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH BOTH OF THEM ARE TERRIFYING! I must admit, I wasn't sleeping for an entire month after thinking the slender-thwart would appear in my bedroom.

We shall agree to disagree. Gem chompers 1 was, in my opinion, one of the best adventures ever made.

I'm pretty sure he'll tell us if he wants to stop the series. If he actually does, which I doubt, we can vote on whether to and who should continue the series.

MNIK is simply going through a lazy/demotivated streak at the moment. Give him a while, and he'll be back to adventuring and gam-making.

Ok, let me word this differently. I hope MNIK gets back into the mood to make GC again, because he is quite great at it, but if he doesn't, I personally don't want the series to stop because I think it's too good to end so soon. It's just like the WACC competition, and there's nothing bad in feeling that way.

Ok, my new adventure has gone through several big changes. First of all, it's hardly related to K.O.L.M. at all, now. Instead, it's heavily based off Amnesia: The Dark Decent. If you don't know what that is, good. You have about 80% less nightmares than me every week.

The game won't actually fit on my computer, so I have to judge it on the first 30 minutes of a Youtube Walkthrough I saw (I got too scared to watch past the Archives), and a load of game maps I saw online. Of course, I'm also going to edit the areas a bit to make them more Wonderland-Friendly, because I doubt I'll be able to make explicit gore in the editor, even if I tried.

Last but not least, the dark bookshelf dilemma is causing me a lot of trouble. If somebody can make a new bookshelfdark texture that works better than mine, please tell me!

Use color 15 for super dark areas ?

I posted this a few months ago and it still isn't fixed.

Today, I successfully managed to make 5 WLVs of the most disturbingly scary video game of all time in a Wonderland-Friendly style, and I haven't even played the game! Go me! :D
