1. I know how to make gory appearances. The first is thing is to use absurd textures, which you know well enough. The second is to rotate, Z-Adjust and put stinkers and thwarts, etc. partially underground to look like mutilated body parts. The last step is to use reddish tiles and dark water to make bloody water. It all works out in the dark.yot yot5 wrote:Ok, my new adventure has gone through several big changes. First of all, it's hardly related to K.O.L.M. at all, now. Instead, it's heavily based off Amnesia: The Dark Decent. If you don't know what that is, good. You have about 80% less nightmares than me every week.![]()
The game won't actually fit on my computer, so I have to judge it on the first 30 minutes of a Youtube Walkthrough I saw (I got too scared to watch past the Archives), and a load of game maps I saw online. Of course, I'm also going to edit the areas a bit to make them more Wonderland-Friendly, because I doubt I'll be able to make explicit gore in the editor, even if I tried.
Last but not least, the dark bookshelf dilemma is causing me a lot of trouble. If somebody can make a new bookshelf dark texture that works better than mine, please tell me!
Thanks for all the tips, but it all has to be Wonderland-Friendly. A few face-down stinkers will be creepy enough, I think.Wonderman109 wrote:1. I know how to make gory appearances. I'm sure I'll be able to make the red goo thingy by myself, but thanks!Wonderman109 wrote:3. I had a nightmare about Amnesia just by looking at images of some of the monsters. The invisible kaernc or whatever it's called that lurks in the water reminds me of an invisible chomper, the Grunts and Brutes could be replace by distorted thwarts and stinkers, and the black plague curse that makes red goo...well, I think it's possible to make in the editor if you're clever. I will send you examples.
O ok.yot yot5 wrote:Thanks for all the tips, but it all has to be Wonderland-Friendly. A few face-down stinkers will be creepy enough, I think.Wonderman109 wrote:1. No, it doesn't. In Wondertown there's a tree near that bridge, so that's not Wondertown (TreelessTown maybe?).Fluffshery wrote:A screenshot from my next adventure. Look familiar?
My adventures take place after the events of PotZ. Wondertown has changed some since what it used to be.Pawelec wrote:No, it doesn't. In Wondertown there's a tree near that bridge, so that's not Wondertown (TreelessTown maybe?).Fluffshery wrote:A screenshot from my next adventure. Look familiar?

yot yot5 wrote:I just finished my equivalent of The Archives in Amnesia. They're pretty scary, but there isn't a trace of danger yet.
I'm working on the Laboratory now. This is the last area I've actually seen in-game, so I'll either have to watch a walkthrough or simply judge it by fan-made maps now.
Oh. Thanks!StinkerSquad01 wrote:You have to remember, with custom music you have put the hexadecimal number of the song in byte-backwards.
For example: Let's say we have a song called 106.ogg.
In hexadecimal, this is 00 6A. For the music to work, in the byte area where music is stored, you input 6A 00.
You might have to check with the music pack if the hexadecimal number is already reversed, too.
I think that's how it works. I'm kinda fuzzy on it.
I would change the floor to volcano one instead of the acid lake one.dig 222 wrote:Need a bit of advice from DECORATION PEOPLE. Is there anything I should add/remove from this? Its supposed to be a volcanic sort of level.
I named it 'Steam Cave'.
THROW ALL YOUR EVIL NIGHTMARES AT ME, I WILL NEVER BE DEFEATED!yot yot5 wrote:I've almost finished making the Wine Cellar in my spooky adventure. This is where I've had to work REALLY hard trying to make it suitable for Wonderland.
When I've finished some mechanisms and tested the whole thing, I'm going to be about 1/3 of the way through. I'll probably send this third-finished folder to somebody for testing, just to make sure it scares innocent civilians as well as me.
Remember that it might be an area near a volcano or cave, and so there may be lighter-coloured rock and some lowlife plants growing there.Pawelec wrote:I would change the floor to volcano one instead of the acid lake one.dig 222 wrote:Need a bit of advice from DECORATION PEOPLE. Also, I would remove mushrooms and change the steam from red to orange.
