The indigo magic is named flash! So it might be camera type thing.

I can't seem to find that video of indigo magic. Did it get deleted or something?

Looks so. That video was unintended as it would have spoiled what the Beta Testers are testing.

Yes, that was an accidental leak - it's gone now.

Those of you who saw it.... please, shhhhhh! Keep it secret. :)

A leak onto the Midnight Post (or was it on the forum somehow?)... well, it may not be the most exciting news, but at least something new happened on the update thread. The Sticky threads in the General Wonderland Discussion have been a bit lonely lately. When the game comes out, I'm sure that won't be the case.

It was a YouTube video for a level solution, I think. I only heard about it, didn't get the chance to actually see it (which is fine, I'd rather not spoil myself on what Indigo/Flash/whatever does). YouTube has two options for non-public videos; private (where only selected users can see it) or unlisted (where anyone with the link can see it but it doesn't appear on search results).

Pretty sure the video was supposed to be one of those two but wasn't.

So basically Patrick accidentally forgot to private it while making the level solutions ? Or was it somebody else ?

So I kind of disappeared from this thread entirely, but looking at Qloof's post, I thought I'd add my own two cents to say that I'm really glad that there's a lengthy beta testing period. I've had an experience that taught me just how important testing really is.

Recently I bought a USB cable for my Samsung GT-E2121B phone (nothing special in terms of features, but the build is extremely solid and the battery lasts F-O-R-E-V-E-R -- amazingly practical device) to transfer my crappy photos to my PC. Turns out Windows can't handle this by itself, I have to download special drivers. Which is already bad by itself, but the problem is made worse because the drivers are contained in a special program, "Samsung New PC Studio".

Long story short, this program is TERRIBLE. The interface is the most ungodly pile of "what!?!" that I've ever had the displeasure to experience. It's flashy, but almost completely unusable and some of the ridiculous design choices make no sense whatsoever. It was clearly NOT tested well.

So I will wait as long as I have to for the beta testing phase to finish, it means we'll get a really good game at the end. 8)

From my understanding, yes. I think it could be for the Beta Testers, but only Patrick can confirm.

This is why I love the Wonderland community. A big secret about a game can be leaked and no one will spill the beans. This would never work with a Nintendo or Valve game.

PS: I saw the video, it is actually pretty cool, but your secret is safe with me.

Well, I'm kind of sad I spoiled it for myself - but I do get to feel superior to all of you who have no idea what it does. :)

if you consider ruining one of the biggest surprises of WA3 making you superior, then sure

As moderators we do know a little bit more about WA3 than typical Wonderlanders do, but you'll never know what we know. ;)

Wait a minute... NEVER?! what are you hiding from us

WA3 is more than a game, isn't it?

Nah, I don't think it is. I'm not a fan of conspiracy theories and such. The only one I like is "half of all conspiracy theories are true" and that is mostly for the lulz.

I just gave a vague reply to vague reply for giggles, that's all.

I wish I could've been a beta tester, except I had a 5 week camp during the sign up period
Not a request though, just letting it out of my system

Me too! Then I wouldn't have to eagerly wait for when the game comes out to see what happens. However, I am patient, and I can wait.

I wonder...

Thanks yot yot5! Been wandering around a couple of other games but keep coming back here. Am keen to get back into a bit of modelling... maybe try out a few of the levels - been nearly 10 years since I was regularly downloading faithfully every level... of course then there was only a couple of dozen levels

Come on, it's not like you have "zomg complete official confirmation", do you?

(And if you do, then how did you get it?)

Given that October 24th is a special day for Wonderlanders, the date of an anniversary, in fact... yes, you're right, it IS pretty likely that MS will try to release the game on that date. It's likely, but no more than that. The probability is never 100%, ever. So don't act as if it was, it might be confusing for other people.

Okay, you caught me... I don't have official confirmation. I know that the game's progress has been delayed a few times (no offense Patrick; I don't mind, as long as the final product is good :)) but now that we're at the crowd sourcing/beta testing point, it seems we're getting there now.

And besides, I never defined "very soon". Could be any unit of time. To the universe, 1,000 years later is "soon".

Hey Robbie, great to see you again! In fact, you've just inspired me to make a thread in the main forum for folks that may be returning soon to say Hello!
