its probably not a good idea to give a friend the third game in a series without the other two games

The game is designed so that even new players can pick up the game, despite having no previous experience with the other games in the series.

Having said that, gifting the whole series will mean 1. He will know the plot better, 2. More playtime, and 3. More money for Patrick :)

I should point out that at launch there will be no demo for WA3. There are free demos for WA1 and WA2, so anyone by now should now whether or not they are interested in WA3. :)

On the other hand, there will be an lower introductory price for the first week of the game's release.

You can just get him the first two demos, Krishiv! :D

But seriously, a free demo is kind of a bad birthday gift. Maybe buy him something?

Hey Patrick - I know the editor is some time off but is there likely to be an extension of the current limit of 4 custom models per level?

There are two different Editors - There's the Classic Editor, which is with RTW (the one with custom model support), and the Adventures Editor, which was released separately from either Adventures game so far.

In this case, the "Editor" is referring to the Adventures Editor, which is significantly different from the Classic one and doesn't have all the features from the Adventures games implemented yet (it was released after WA1 and there was never a MoFI edition of it publicly).

(Fingers crossed that the Classic Editor gets an update at some point, though!)

:( What? no demo? Which means I could never get WA3? :( My dream was to get WA3,now it is broken. You shouldn't break one's dream,Edit a wlv from a hub and add a signboard blocking the levelexit to another wlv and saying you have finished demo.

Maybe I will not give the free demo for a birthday gift as he doesn't know how to read English as he is an Indian so as I,he only knows how to read his mother tongue which is not English.

I think he may mean that at the release of the game, there won't be a demo, but after a while he will make a demo available.

Besides, if you get the demo, you're not actually getting the full game.

You don't know that I AM A CODER,I could convert demo into full version and back to demo. But the dem2full code may not work until you have updates of that game.

Okay, first off, as others have said, saying that on the forum is not in your best interest.

Second off, no, that's not possible - Take a look at the MoFI demo to see how the demos work, only the necessary data is included (I don't remember how many for certain but the MoFI demo only includes a small number of adventures/hub levels compared to the final) - doesn't matter if you're a coder or not, you can't conjure up the missing levels from thin air.

Thats impossible... and even if it was... -----> :piratewink:
And plus WA games don't get 'updated'.

Technically, if you really are a coder (on the level of ASM hacking and such) it would probably be quite simple to remove the "end of demo" sign and let the actual .EXE function as a full game. I doubt MS redesigns their EXEs.

Regardless, it's still impossible to "crack" the game yourself because, as others have mentioned, the demo version physically lacks most of the data, including levels.

Also, even if it were possible, it's illegal. Also, posting about this in the game's own forum is bad tone and a bad idea.
