You said such before, but still didn't explain after I asked.

I have a solution. From now on whenever there's something I need edited I'll just send one of the mods a PM telling him to edit it.

I'd be willing to do that sometimes as long as it's not just to add a period at the end of a post or something.

Nobody and XPR, I also think that's a very good idea, so that people will think and read more careful before posting but when there's something to edit which they find important, that a moderator will do that.

BTW, someone made a typo in the title here: http://www.pcpuzzle.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=21627 and would like to ask Patrick to edit it. Perhaps you, XPR, can do that? Since it's in the title it looks a bit more messy then just in a post, I think. :)

We don't want people making terrible typos that have different meanings than intended.
Timing FTW.

That's not inside the responsibilities of a mod IMO.

Oops, forgot:
Editing which are done by mods will not effect immediately instead of editing the post yourself. Mods have full control over the edit and they could remove any of your sayings, making your point unclear/confusing/misleadning.

But still I trust the mods here :P

Deeman, why do you keep repeating and in the meantime ignoring what other people say?

Tyteen, I agree, it's not their responsibility in a way of: they don't have to do that. However if someone asks a mod to edit something in a post, and the mod is willing to do that, they have sort of an agreement, and that ok though?

To avoid confusion it may be an idea if the user sends the mod a PM with the text he/she wants the post edited into.

On the other hand, if you forgot something, or said something and then changed your mind, you always can make a new post to explain that.

It's been two months. Is it time for the transition of some topics yet?
