I can't make it work.
I have no knowledge on the process of how to do it.
You saying a caveman can make it work is extremely rude and it makes you look really lazy for not wanting to help him.

It's been tweaked since then. There is the other bridge up and you start by the Grow Charger. The coin was also moved.

Go ask that question in a different topic because there are too many ways that you could have gone wrong in the process.

I have a small random question and a progress report.

How do you use the MOFI Beach texture? It appears in my editor and stuff but not in MOFI itself.

Here's the levels I have done for demo 1's later release:

Wonderland: 1/1
Mr. Zurkon's Aircraft: 10/10
Stardust Island: 0/15
Coral Field: 0/6

You use it as a custom texture, MyNameIsN00- Imean kooky.

I know that, it works as a custom texture. But it always appears as the grass texture in MOFI. :?

Did you use the Localsaveon trick?

Of course I did. That's completely unrelated anyways.

Hint: GameData = Userdata.

Made the corresponding folders and files inside there, didn't work.

Game Data - Custom Content - Textures - leveltex beach.bmp

Try that

It may works but I'm not really sure it is, Guppy Star.

Oh, I choose After.

It will work.

Qwerty20000 had made his Crust Bog Demo in MOFI wg.exe the same way I stated above.

Just have a set of beach textures ( 3 Pictures ) and have it copied to both

1. User Data/Custom Content/Textures/ in WA Editor
2. Game Data/Custom Content/Textures/ in MOFI folder

That's what I did, but it didn't work. Maybe I just made a typo somewhere?

You may have to check the spellings properly.

leveltex<singlespace>beach.bmp
backgroundtex<singlespace>beach1.bmp
backgroundtex<singlespace>beach2.bmp

If you get any error on the WAE like
"Array Index Out of Bounds" or "Texture Couldn't Load",
You must use the proper name of leveltex or backgroundtex

If still it doesn't work, you can download the BEACH attachment I use
Here is the zip

OH, I forgot the backgroundtex's. That must have been the problem.

Off to fix it right now... Thank you!

I don't understand the thing that in MoFI the textures are named randomly like btogfk and their backgroundtexs are named randomly too.
I don't get it how the game loads them.

Their names are encoded to try to prevent sneaky people like us from digging into the game files and finding usable stuff. Just shift all the letters of a name of a texture one letter back in the alphabet. For example:

"mfwfmufy cfbdi" would translate into "leveltex beach". :)

Thanks! :D
One more thing about that,
can we import custom textures not backwards?

Posted: Tue Nov 23, 2010 8:13 pm
by MyNameIsKooky
Yes, just put the custom textures into GameData\Custom Content\Textures in their normal forms. Make sure to include the backgroundtex's too or it won't work. :)

Guppy Star's suggestion worked. Thanks a million!

Now to lurk through the forum to figure out how to add seagull and ocean sounds... I think cbloopy said something about it a while back...

Yeah, but it was in the hex-editing topic.

You just download it and load the master.dat. The rest is selfexplanitory.

Okay, you've fixed it.

What type of error you encountered before?
