No. No they're not. They're completely different.

Which is exactly the problem here.

Sonic Rush and Rush Adventure (and by extension, Colors DS and Sonic 4) aren't momentum-based, but rather reflex-based. They're focused on raw speed as opposed to the platforming style of the originals.

In the case of Rush, Rush Adventure, and Colors DS, that's to be expected. With Sonic 4, Sega promised time and time again that it wouldn't be another Sonic Rush-styled game, and in the end, that's exactly what we got.

Also, as for Sonic Colors, the DS is incapable of properly rendering anything similar to Unleashed's gameplay in 3D, so instead, Colors was made in the style of the Rush games. The Wii version is far closer to Sonic Unleashed's gameplay.

I'm trying out a few Sonic challenges. I'm trying to beat Mecha Eggman... thing but having Sonic not be able to move. Tails has to carry him to keep him from dying.

Thanks for telling me.

Then we would not need it comming out for 3DS, I guess.
Then again there is blue and red resque team(Pokemon), one for DS and one for Gameboy but they pretty much have the same data, while DS can use gameboy anyway.
