Is there anyway possible i can stop living in Fear of MAVs when adding
RETRO:
Z-Bots
And
UFOs?
Is there a way to add them with walls included? just they arnt caged?
The only way I know to stop the MAVing if UFOs and ZBots are walled in is to HEX edit the .wlv file and adjust an odd set of coordinate data. The details are in this PDF file I originally attached with the WOPs in a previous thread. But they don't MAV every time they are walled in. I'm not sure what makes them do that.

No, It's a complete lie.
Do you see them MAV in MOFI?
No.
I even tested, no MAV.
It is very rare and is very hard to make happen.

Dude, you really should work on your manners. Yes, it does seem to be rare, but it is still a problem people will want a solution to.

Problem: It's not starting for me,
When i saw what it can now do i litterlly jumped so high i hit the celling. Lucky i didn't get hurt, but anyhow editor tools 1.2 doesn't start. i did what you said, it still does nothing. I put a copy of the .exe of the program into my Unofficial MOFI Editor, i put the WOPs in my editor's Object presets, and i put the needed thingies, in the main dictionary of my editor folder. what did i do wrong? (NOTE i have Windows XP, JUST XP. And i installed .net frame-network for the otherone so what is wrong with it?)

Just doesn't run? No error message? Weird. My first guess is that you've got the wrong "Default Settings.txt" file. There's another data line in that file from the older version, and the program just won't start if it's trying to use the old one. Make sure you have THIS ONE (attached below) in the same folder as the Editor Tools exe. Your folder should look like the picture below. Hope this clears it up. There shouldn't be any reason the old one would work and this one doesn't.

I'm not sure what you mean here, do you mean the application's icon is using the windows default? Anyway, I'm not sure why it's not working. If the old version is working for you, stick with that one for now. I'll have to wait and see if anyone else is having this problem. Sorry

Ok, fixed the flipbridge problem. For anyone who already downloaded ver 1.2, simply replace the exe file with the new one attached below. If you haven't yet downloaded 1.2, then go to the first post in this thread and click on the link for the complete 1.2.2 version.

Well, anything I do is going to be a shot in the dark, so here goes the first one.... Try this, see if it fixes the problem
EDIT: ATTACHMENT DELETED. I installed virtual XP on my machine to test out the program in an XP environment, and that first test did not work. But now I can troubleshoot problems on XP's myself.

Fixed the incompatibility issue for XP users... at least it worked in my virtual XP environment. Updated program is in the first post of this thread.
I'm gonna take a little break now from programming.

Did you ever get the .NET framework to install?
For screenshots, open up the Instructions pdf file.
I'll try to help you solve the problems running the program. What OS are you running and what service pack? CPU? RAM?

I have this error:

by jafo1015
@ md
Don't put the program in the "Program Files" directory (I get the same error). There is usually a security setting for that folder. Put it instead in something like "C:\" or "C:\WA Editor v096" or even in your "My Documents" folder would be fine. Some folder that does not require "permission" to access or move files to.
This should clear up that problem.
EDIT: If you really want the program in the "Program Files" directory, you can also change the "Privilege Level" of the program by: right clicking on the .exe, select Properties, click the Compatibility tab, and check the "Run this program as an administrator" box. At least that's how it works in Win 7.

Did you install the NET 4.0 framework thingy? That might be it. An installer should be in a folder "NET 4.0", then try.
I've recently started using this, and I must say, you've done it again jafo. Bravo! At first I was not sure why the Magic Mirror didnt appear, but then I read the help and I learned you shoul put it in a wall.
