This is what the Foggy Mountain caves look like, as shown in the old thread. Looking for opinions - What should I use for the music here? The regular cave theme, from WA1, or MoFI's cave ambience? I'm inclined to pick the latter, just curious as to what others think. :)
If these are your only choices, then yeah, go for MoFI's cave ambience.

I'd probably do some audio-editing of my own, perhaps adding some wind sample, slowing and pitching waaaaaaay down small parts of the Star's End theme and the drums from the Acid Pools theme (until they become more low whooshes than drums) and a few musical cues of my own.... but that's just me and I'm crazy. And I don't even have much time now, what with my university's 2nd semester and such, so... yeah, just go for MoFI's cave ambience if you don't want to do any of this music editing madness.

Also, that would have to be a custom .ogg

I did actually find out last night that if you have the thing set to '50, 20, 10, 20', it turns into something very much like the UO star crossing music.

However, when I made it repeatable, and stepped on it after loading in...
well, err, lets just say that it turned - swashy.

I've had a very good hub idea, and I don't think anyone has done anything along these lines... I'm not going to talk about it since I have a feeling I will abandon it before release... I'm just gonna share this picture for now... :D Can't resist the urge

Genius!

I actually have an idea for a very peculiar setting in the hub I will sloooowly work on. It's nothing like this, though.

Reminds me of my failed attempt to start a new series with "A Day At The Zoo." This looks better though, so I hope you can finish it. :)

If anyone wants to send me adventures for my hub, they can. I haven't been doing any work on anything though, so any adventures intended for my hub would probably go to waste.

The Magic Cuboid Part 4 Progress:
WA1E Rooms: 6/6
WA3E Gameplay Rooms: 1/3-4
WA3E Plot Room: 0/1

The fact that the thing I'm least looking forward to is testing my past self's puzzle is probably a bad sign that means people will find this adventure too hard, but at this point I'm far too lazy to make any of these puzzles easier.

I finished all the dialog and stuff for TMC4 yesterday, and all I have to do now is add the rooms for it, as well as expand the AWESOME ROOM to actually contain stuff. So, in other words:
WA1E Rooms: 6/6
WA3E Gameplay Rooms: 2/3
WA3E Plot Rooms: 0/2

Well, in better news, in spite of the rainbow disaster(which is still not fixed...), I have created, out of pure excitement, the basics of the return of the magical whimsy(me).

Lets take a look!

You could always just look in the original zip file you downloaded the editor in (unless you got rid of it after extracting it).

Easy,The rainbow bubble has got !None model,go to hex editor and replace !None with !Rainbowbubble(use replacing options else it will MAV).Hex side, the first byte could be 05, replace it with 0e(for not MAVing in editor)

Beginning a test run of The Magic Cuboid 4. If I can't beat HARDPUZZLE then I'll probably just replace it with an empty room, or keep the puzzle intact but allow you to skip it, because I just want to get this adventure out.

Well, actually, I'm just on the first part.

I'm just glad I have access to bubbles, now.

In all honesty, I have actually made a level that I'm 95% certain I am going to put in the lava triangle.

All so, I'd like to mention that I added like two more mini-areas to the map. :P

But I digress; you'll see more about this in the adventures selection section. :D

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

So apparently between WA1E and WA3E, MS decided to make all the fireproof monsters non-fireproof. Even DragonTurtles for some reason. Also, he inexplicably thought it would be a good idea if almost every creature were immune to Command 51. Since the best part of The Magic Cuboid 4 involved fireproof creatures that act like Scritters, I'm a little upset right now.

Progress on TMC4 is postponed for a bit. Yeah.

That's running on the WA3E. Having said that, it was made in the old Editor.

Just to clarify: The monsters needed to be immune to firetraps, not immune to Pow.

by Qloof234
Oh, firetraps. I kinda thought all monsters were supposed to be vulnerable to firetraps, and that some of them being immune was a bug in the old Editor.
