Why is there one in the desert? Silly snow golems, snow doesn't belong in the desert.

I made one in the desert, because silly snow golems are silly, they don't melt, making them useful for lava traps.

I fixed the server, turns out it was because of my computers firewall, so I host on the other computer. PM if you wish to join anyone else.

Hamachi conflicts with the internet. DO NOT USE.

I don't understand. What kind of conflict and why not use? My internet is fine.

It messes up my local internet and slows down everything else.
Plus, it's just much easier to forward ports. :/

Hamachi uses a range of IPs that is already allocated to somebody else. Therefore, Hamachi is literally stealing other's IPs.

I don't have a full picture of it right now, but I managed to figure out how to use redstone well enough to make an automatic sugar cane farm in SMP. It works in SP as well, but I haven't built one yet.
The concept is simple - Sugar cane only grows if it's next to water. If the water's removed, then when it tries to grow or the block next to it updates, it'll break.
What the farm does is quite simple - when the lever is thrown, a piston blocks off the water flow that's letting the sugar cane grow, while another piston allows the water to flow down next to the cane. As a result, it breaks and gets carried down to a collection area.
Theoretically, you could make one of these huge. I've only made mine dispense a maximum of 96 sugar canes (if each cane is fully grown).
I'll find some pictures of the farm itself and how it works a bit later, I've got stuff to do right now.

"He seemed to find some peace here, even as he was accosted by the undead of New Firunda.
Was it the quiet darkness of the ravene?
The soft warmth of the light his torches spread?
The satisfaction infused within at the sight of another vanquished foe?
...At the moment, I could not tell.
But I can say this...
His sword, no matter how crude of make, swung with confidence; and with purpose; and with joy; though discrete.
Noticeably, too, did the gentle rhythm resonating from his pick against stone soothe his heart.
And though such observations, to this Watcher, were slightly mysterious,
I could say one thing for certain...
His previous adventure, in his previous world, had grown him.
Clearly there were still new things to learn; but this time, our hero was not fearful, nor timid, nor new to the workings of the world around him.
I was almost inspired by him, here, in the Cave of Dusk. He was peaceful, but his eyes... they seemed to see something neither I, nor you, would see.
What could it be?"
