I meant the decent part. I know you've made 3d.

I'll probably have a new level done by the end of tonight. If I'm lucky I'll finally finish readying all fifteen chapters soon.

In ET3, the answer was almost yes. Now, it's out of the question.

Trilogies can have more than three parts. It never stopped Douglas Adams.
I learned the word "trilogy" when I was in preschool.
Also, "A trilogy is a set of three works of art that are connected, and that can be seen either as a single work or as three individual works. They are commonly found in literature, film, or video games. Three-part works that are considered components of a larger work also exist in visual arts and music, such as the triptych or the three-movement sonata, but they are not commonly referred to with the term "trilogy.""

Scratch that.
ET3 is the last game in the trilogy. ET5 is the last game in the series.
My point is still somewhat valid, though not as much.
Also, look at the word: Trilogy. "Tri" means three.

In this case it is what's known as a pentalogy, a series of works with five parts.

I don't see what's so comedic about it, unless you're just trying to make fun of my indecisiveness.

Anyways, about Evil Toaster 5 progress, you can expect a new release by Halloween.

OIC

Are you just doing chp. 2, or is that fraction in lowest terms or whatever?

I ran into a roadblock while trying to make a water-based boss.

I'm trying to make rotating lasers that stop at the walls by using the draw_line_color and collision_line commands, but the laser never appears (yes, I'm using the draw event, obviously)...

I can't use actual moving objects because it will create a curve effect as the boss rotates. I'm trying to get them to instantly update, like Portal 2's Thermal Discouragement Beams.

This might take a few days.

I know a way to do it with sevral objects if you want.

It depends. A good laser should only take one object.

It's not, but it looks like one object. Having it stop directly at the wall might be hard, though. How thick is the wall?

I meant good lasers should only take one object to make. The one I want should draw, itself, move/rotate, and have a collision line. The problem I'm having is getting the laser to render correctly.

I think I'll just go figure this out myself.

ooh that reminds me of an idea i once had

to use bullet objects that looked like small sections of laser

and have them fired so close to each other that it looked like a laser

no idea if it would work

i have no motivation to mess with gm

at all

ever

this post involved several hits of enter and no hits of shift

:P

That wouldn't work if the laser is moving or rotating.
