Someone said that (I don't remember who) if you have a lot of posts, and you change your avatar frequently, it can cause the server to crash.

Also, it just bugs me a little seeing users change their avatars a lot because my mind has to get used to remembering them by that avatar.

I don't think once every few days counts as "frequently" in that context.
