You could have it fly out of your reach for most attacks, and have a attack or 2 where it rams you or something, giving you a chance to d-smash. I pan on doing something like that when you fight the Elite Forces in FT1.

EVIL TOASTER 4 FULL VERSION RELEASED!
With 300 apples to free, 35 gems to collect, and 5 bosses, the full version has it all!
The final boss part of the game wasn't as epic as I had hoped for, but it will do.
Also, be sure to decode those Code Signs... Perhaps they have an important message on what will happen in the alleged "near future"?
