Bling is a cool name,but doesn't really describe it..

I think I'll just stick to Red Magic or Homing Missle.

None of the names fit. Maybe we could ask MS if he thought up of a name for it.. After all, he's the one who made the magic.

It's up to MS to decide.

Given that it's a magic MS discarded during WA1 development, and was originally meant only for FireFlowers, I doubt MS will ever care to give an official name to it.

I don't know how Floing actually describes going back in time. So Bling would be like Floing!

Floing is more of a pun on Fling - "Fl(o)inging yourself back in time..."

Something like that might be the general idea, but with the word altered for variety, supposedly.

Interesting. Along that line of thought, here's an interesting name for "crimson magic" then: "Cu-Pow" (or maybe "Ka-Pow" or "K'Pow"?).

It's a shorten form for "cursed POW", which I think is the shortest phrase (counting number of syllables) I can come up with thus far to capture what the magic is about. It's cursed because of its tendency to turn back and chase you.

I will now call it Eek-Fire-Chomp!


I call it that because it gains some properties of a chomper after traveling

I understand that submissions for names is closed, but still...

CraPow - "crazy" POW
CurPOW - curved POW
NavPow - navigated POW
KaBOOM Power - another name...

If it comes down to Bling vs Bounce, I'm picking Bounce.

Well, I have a point that I'm going to make, and I don't mean to upset anyone at all here, especially not Emerald considering he started this topic.

If what this vote is about is the magic's 'accepted' name, we're never going to get anywhere. People won't like it, people won't want it, and more debates might show up like this. In short, an 'accepted' name won't work too well because it won't be accepted by everybody. I, for one, don't exactly like the prospect of a name that seems to have no bearing on the magic's abilities - as in Bling - (no offense to anyone) or one that's pretty obscure, as in Bounce - I mean, it does have an origin from the magic's movements, but it isn't evident from the start. In fact, I only found out that it bounces against ice walls the way it does from one of Dlcs's adventures.

If we wanted an 'accepted' name, A) we would have to settle for an 'official' name, or B) there wouldn't be an official name and so anyone could call it whatever they want, even though that's already happening.

In fact, we don't even have to come up with a new name - Floing fits it just as well as any of the others, as in "It fl(o)ings itself back at you".

I can't tell where this discussion is going, but I have a gut feeling it's going downhill.

@ Emerald; Uhm... I don't see anyone "bringing down" suggestions at all. In fact, all I see is people saying that they're voting Bling or Bounce. The only kind of negativity I'm seeing comes after your post about this "debate", and it seems to be in response to said post.

@ Nobody; I feel the exact opposite about the names. As for the Bounce and Bling thing, you've... kinda contradicted your own post

You're saying that you don't want Missile and Wop added back on the charts, but at the same time you're saying that having just Bounce and Bling is getting us absolutely nowhere.

If that's the case, what should we do, add two of the earlier names or something? It'll probably just end up the same.

If, in the end, this lack of progress keeps going on for a long time, and we end up between Bounce and Bling again (assuming that Missile and Wop show up again), I assure you that I won't vote, and that I'll use my own name for it (Missile).
