OK, let's ask for some other people's opinions. Other people on this forum, moderators, Patrick, what do you think?

- If someone keeps talking about other people, especially bad things someone else did a while ago, which can't be changed anymore.....

- If someone compares his/her maturity with someone else'e, perhaps with the intention to show: "I am good, I am wise, and the other one is bad or dumb".....

Will that make a better community? Will that make anyone feel better. Is there any point, any purpose in it? What goal will it reach?

Will it only cause annoyance and cause other people feel bad? Will it perhaps cause people arguing and ending up with a fight?



Of course there have happened things in the past, other people did, which annoyed me. But what use is there in keeping talking about that? Will it change anything? No, it only will make me feel bad again, thinking about them. And talking about them probably will make other people feel bad as well.

The only reason for talking about bad things is to prevent them happening again in future. Otherwise, it's pointless!

So Deeman, I guess I made my point clear. If you can think a good reason for such behavior, please explain it to me, and please tell me, if you think it's not pointless, what's your point and goal with it.

Last but not least: I can't speak on behalf of other people, but in general I
can say that talking bad about other people and only good about yourself, you don't make friends with it.

I'm really gonna stop now. If you, esp. you Marinus, give me ways I can improve, I will try to follow the advice.
Otherwise I shall go away from this forum and bring MOFI's popularity to the entire Internet. While Earthbound gets more publicity than it did in its day, and MS listens to its fans more than nintendo (not saying much, however), WA will not be the next earthbound (not literally, as Nintendo =/=Midnight Synergy).

Advice........ well, I'm not able to tell you in a few words, like a secret formula what's the best way to live. No one can. Also, everyone keeps learning in life, no matter children, teenagers or adults. Only the fact that you have an open mind for other people's advice, makes me feel better.

Right now I only can think a few things. Like I said several times before: Don't look back, but look forward. And try to see, think about, and talk about good things rather then bad things.

Well, I took a look at your memberlist, and I saw some special people like God and Hitler. So perhaps people are a bit afraid to join them.

Also I noticed that more then half of the people are either Administrator or Moderator. I guess there's a lot to edit/delete there.

About tobacco industry is quite nonsense because everyone is free to choose about smoking.

But I agree, with both of you; Of course Jewish people have the best reason to hate Hitler, but he also killed many people from other countries in Europe. And (I don't like to say it but ) we still need to thank America for the help, so the American people have also reason to be bothered about a username Hitler.

BTW I'm almost sure that quite a while ago there were users on this forum with usernames Hitler and Hittler, and also that I made a post about it. But I can't find any of them now; perhaps Patrick deleted all of it.

About a username "God", perhaps there are also people who don't like that, because they think it's blasphemy.

Anyhow, it is not of my concern, but if I would like to join your forum Flying Boy, I think I wouldn't really like it, having members with such username.

Agreed. If anyone is offended by it, I will change his username to kirbeh or something. (If someone has a offensive username and I change it without a warning of some sort, I will contact that person by e-mail. Also, users can change their usernames by themselves so they can pick another is the one I chose for them is disliked)

So you're offended by it? Well, if you are, and you join(I read your whole post, I know you don't intend to but just saying) I'll make shure to swap the usernames.

No, not really offended. I just don't like it, but not at a personal way. And feeling offended is something personal in my opinion.

About Hitler; it's just (what you may know in the meantime) that I don't want to be reminded of bad things that happened in the past. If it was to prevent that history would repeat, then it's good to remind those things but in general: I don't want to hear or read bad things that people kill each other and such.

BTW, I remember now, I did not post on this forum about those usernames, but I sent Patrick a PM about it. Probably he removed them then.

About God; not offended either but for one reason, I grew up in church and my entire family is religious. I like my family and I respect their believes. I don't call myself religious but I do believe in the existence of God, more then anything else. But that's not even the main reason. I think a username "God" would bother me about the same as "The King", "The Emperor", "The Boss", "The Master", "The Best" .....etc....etc... Such usernames may be meant as a joke, but they always give me the idea or feeling, they think they are more or better then other people.


About joining your forum; Well, I like to talk with you on this forum, but I don't see a reason to join other forums. I guess you've also lots of games and other stuff on your site which you all younger people like, but I don't really think that I will like them so much that I would talk about them much on your forum. I'm here on this forum, and that's fine with me.

No, I've never seen that you are acting as if you're better then other people, and if brothers are a bit like each other, I don't expect him, acting that way. It's just a feeling in general like I said. Also I think your brother is pretty young so perhaps he didn't think about those things. It's ok with me, and I guess, if he joins this forum, he would choose a different username: "Flying Bro" or so.

I'm quite shocked that ^_^ calls himself Hitler because I consider this username heavily inappropriate for any kind of community.

But remember that political and religious discussions aren't allowed here, so we should stop talking about it.

I don't consider this a religious or political discussion. It's about human rights, and respecting other people's feelings.

For the god thing, he said he would change his username so we can probaly drop that now.

Well, it's your forum, so you should decide what you think it's best. It's actually not my business, and neither of the other people on this forum, unless they intend to join your forum.

But if you're just asking for our opinion; I say you'd rather talk with him about it, instead of simply change his username yourself, if you've no rule about that on your forum.

But it's more about what, especially you, and also the other people on your forum think, then about what I think.

Ok. I've allready talked to him about it, and if anyone on the forum complains I'll change it(I've warned him) and contact him by e-mail to tell him.

P.S. "God"(username) was changed to guy. He chose his username.
