Sunken Paths - Help

These are the kinds of levels that make me want to pull my hair out! I'm not only stuck on this one but on River Crossings & Button Me Down (just not fast enough!) not to mention the Wastland (how do you get over that chasm???) Any way, I have tried and tried this party of Sunken Paths and can't get either key, much less the coins and exit. Will some generous soul please help me out?

I have never seen this level and don't know how to complete it, but I know that you can only get to the wasteland after you're done with the forest.

You beat the game without seeing this level??? How can that be? If you use the Red Shard to teleport, it takes you to the southern outskirts of Forest End. This level is to the left and then diagonal down left of Forest's End. Arrrgh!
It is so painful!

Actually, you don't have to complete most of the elvels. You can skip them and come back later.

If that is true, then I'm at a loss. As far as I know, those are the only levels I haven't completed. Where do I go from here?

Amended: I have only completed Lvl 1 of each game in the Arcade so I do have more levels to do but it won't let me play Lvl 2 of the games...

You need another token for level 2 in the arcade. Step up to the machine and give it a token. Just like you did with level 1.
Let me try to explain the level.
Step on a "yellow"button then make sure you can reach another "yellow" button. Repeat this until you have pushed most of the buttons. Then you can walk over the whole area without any problems.

I tried giving another token to each of the machines but nothing happens. The gold star in front of each machine has turned dark. Usually this means the level is completed and you can't go back in. Is this suppose to happen? I would love to have enough stars so I could skip some levels in Forest's End!

Strange. When I gave the machine another token, a new star appears. Yes it is supposed to get dark when you are finished.
How many stars do you need to skip the ones in Forest's End? They are driving me crazy! Don't you have to get the keys from all the levels there? I only have two keys and are starting to give up...

If you complete a level on a machine and you want to go to the next level, you have to give a new token. Then a new yellow star appears on the ground near you. Step on it and play.

Make sure you collect the coins before the main puzzle so that you leave all the barrels up.
SPOILER FOR MAIN PUZZLE OF SUNKEN PATHS
This is how I did it. There may be many other ways.
Look at the screenshot at the top of this thread.
Step 1 right and that is your
STARTING POSITION
From Start: up to brown - left to brown - back one.
Up to green - back to start - walk to right of sign.
Up to green - right to brown - left to brown.
Up to green - up to green - right to brown - right to brown - right to green.
Down to green. Collect yellow key.
From yellow key go up to the corner and left to next spot.
Up to green - up to green (you should now be on the top row).
Left to brown - left to brown - left to green - down to green.
Left to brown - left to brown and top 2 coins.
Step back and up to top left corner green.
Down to next green and 2 lower coins. Collect green key.
Now make your way up to the gates using the safe paths, i.e. don't step on any buttons you haven't stepped on before.
Save your game in a separate slot before the next bit.

haven't followed the spoiler, solution
but when you want it easier to remember:
try to go to a black button first and then to another black button. Or 2 greens at a row.
That method too when you got the stinker. It worked for me.
"Green down, green up" "black down, black up"

in the map i've lettered the buttons from A-S
in the spoiler (quote) i'll tell you the steps that
you and the ws should take for my route.
spoiler quote:
1. ws to I
2. you to B then A (can diagonal move on log)
3. you move onto island with C and D but don't step on buttons yet)
4. ws to F
5. you to C
6. ws to E
7. you to D
8. you to G
9. you to L
10. ws to K
11. you to M
12. you to G (it's safe now)
13. ws to O
14. you to H
15. you go back thru G-C-A-B to land, then thru F-E to K (all safe spots)
16. ws to N
17. ws to S
18. you to R (DO NOT TOUCH Q - go the safe way!)
19. you to P
GET COINS
get you and ws to land and send ws to exit

Ok now I feel like a real idiot. I've been wondering why I didn't have enough stars, well this level is why. UGH.
When you first walk in after talking to the guy, it seems to me there's only one path to the red arrow. I can't find a way to get any coins that I can see. Is that right?
Next I cannot figure out those few buttons to get to the next area. I'm totally stuck at the beginning point. Any help out there would sure be appreciated.
Edit: Of course as soon as I posted this I got across the first set, screwed up the second set by the coins and had to restart but now I'm at the big puzzle.....lets see how it goes LOL

Finally! You folks are awesome! I could never had done this without your maps and spoilers. Ya all are super duper!!
Finally have 103 stars, still have to finish those two wakka wakka levels UGH here I go......

If you're stuck in the great puzzle, maybe this could be helpfull too
When you saw Patrick's video of the great puzzle, you'll see he started at the left side of the puzzle.
The point where you already can pick up 2 coins.
Everybody wants to begin where the sign stands.
It's easier when standing near the coins.
The only trouble then is to reach the green key.
I'll keep shouting :"first black button down, second black button up" or "green down, green up' Same with the stinker.
Stinker goes first on a green button, you have to find a green button.
You can only go to a black button, see that the stinker can go to a black button.
You also can complete the last puzzle by switching places

I do the first two three puzzles fine. I get the keys. I get the coins. Then I wake up the stinker. I have him stand on top button. I get halfway across. Then i have him move to bottom button. Then I move all the way and then stand on green button and then let him across. But the next puzzle has me stumped. I have tried using Mette's site but the directions are not working for me. I am following the diagram it has but something is wrong. And I can't do it! Please help.
Also where is the video for this level?

NO. I didn't. That was refering to one of the first parts of that level. But I have yet to complete it.

In the beginning of this topic I referred too, they're discussing about the first puzzles.
I made a walkthru later on for the last one! I made it for Bettylou.
Where you need to move the stinker also on the buttons to get you both across.
Try this one, Elmopalooza! I'm sure you can make it to the finish!
